PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

Under the direction of the Audit Manager and/or Audit Director, this position is responsible for conducting comprehensive unannounced factory audits to determine a vendor/factory's level of adherence to Target Standards of Vendor Engagement (SOVE) as well as local laws. Support the execution of Global Compliance program.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Executes comprehensive, unannounced factory audits evaluating the factory's compliance to Target Standards of Vendor Engagement (SOVE) including:

· Conducts opening meeting with factory management.

· Tours the plant and uses a camera and audit form to record pertinent information.

· Interviews workers at work site in a private room.

· Interviews factory management.

· Examines personnel records, working hour records and payroll, conduct hours and wage calculation.

· Reviews production and raw material records to verify Country of Origin.

· Completes an audit recap and negotiates corrective time and action plan with factory management in the closing meeting.

· Sends alert communication to appropriate Global Compliance team members to notify of severe violation(s).

· Organizes and maintains a filing system for the audits in the local office and prepare files with audit, factory and vendor information.

· Prepares and submits detailed audit reports documenting each factory visit in a timely manner; reviews audit reports and pictures for completeness prior to sending to Minneapolis and/or Hong Kong Global Compliance.

· Submits weekly and quarterly audit schedules to the Audit Supervisor, Audit Manager and/or Audit Director and send a copy to Minneapolis; updates as necessary when factory statuses change, audit prioritization requests impact plans or other circumstances impact the schedule.

· Accurately prepares expense reports according to Target and/or TSS/AMC policy in a timely manner; submits to Audit Supervisor, Audit Manager and/or Audit Director for approval

· Maintains high level of expertise in key areas including:

· Maintaining country specific wage, hour and policy and update to the country profiles sheets.

· Local labor laws.

· Executes special projects as assigned by Audit Supervisor, Audit Manager and/or Audit Director.

· Assists with training Global Compliance program to other TSS personnel.

· Maintains effective and professional relationships with Target manufacturers and vendors.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Requirements

• University degree or equivalent work experience
• 3-5 years of quality inspection of softgoods or hardgoods, or equivalent experience in production, or related discipline
• Multilingual with fluency in English and local dialect, written and spoken
• Must have good organization skills and be able to work independently
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• PC skills: Outlook, Word, Excel, Access
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills
• Proven interpersonal skills
• Frequent travel is required
• Able to maintain confidentiality

Desired Requirements

• Knowledge of accounting and payroll practices
• Basic working knowledge of U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations
• Understanding of local labor laws and regulations

Communication in more than one local dialect
