【Job Description】

Hewlett Packard Labs is an international industrial research organization headquartered in Palo Alto, California. As Hewlett Packard Enterprise's central research organization, Hewlett Packard Labs' purpose is to deliver breakthrough technologies and technology advancements that provide a competitive advantage for the company, by investing in fundamental science and technology in areas of interest to HPE and getting the resulting technologies ready for adoption into new and existing markets.

The Networking, IoT and Mobility Lab of Hewlett Packard Labs focuses on improving enterprise solution, data-center and cloud network, and intelligent edge technologies, by advancing research in seamless connectivity, localization, wireless quality of experience, mobile applications, IoT, mobile big-data analytics, 5G networks, and software defined networking.

We’re devoted to the fundamental research as well as applied research that advances the state-of-the-art while driving significant business impact. Our research areas of interest include (but are not limited to):

-Edge computing and IoT

-Mobile and multi-media networking

-Enterprise wireless networks

-Network function virtualization

【Responsibilities】

-Participates as a member of team of other research engineers carrying out the investigation, design, development, execution, and implementation of scientific research projects to generate new products, technologies, and intellectual property.

-Creates portions of research plans, investigative procedures, and collection and analysis guidelines for assigned investigation; collaborates with internal and external partners to perform experiments and validations in accordance with overall research plan.

-Participates in the technical transfer or technical commercialization of the research results so as to enhance the technical strength of HPE products

-Prepares literature and presentations for peer review, publication, and delivery at industry and scientific events and conferences; creates patent applications and supporting documentation.

【Qualifications】

We are most interested in candidates for regular positions with a PhD or MS or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, or statistics). We also seek senior systems software engineers with an MS in a relevant field, who are interested in research developer positions.

We expect job candidates to have strong background and expertise in corresponding fields. Excellent systems building skills are a significant plus. We value the ability to work independently and in teams, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong mathematical grounding, and the desire to learn new techniques to solve problems.

As for the system software engineers, we expect the job candidates to have excellent system building expertise and corresponding records in those fields.
