Summary of Position
This position requires a self - motivated, responsible and organised candidate to assist in the management and delivery of interior fit - out projects. The assistant project manager must understand the client and designers requirements, whilst ensuring the timely completion of the project to the required quality/finish, and within budget.
The assistant project manager will support the planning, management, coordination and financial control of a project, working under the supervision of a Project Manager and with a range of other professionals/trades during the Project lifecycle.
There is also a requirement for a detailed understanding of Construction Authority Submissions including Fire Services Bureau, Construction Bureau, Quality & Safety Bureau, Planning Bureau etc including on site Health and Safety best practice and regulations.
You must demonstrate an excellent project delivery background and be used to working in high pressure environments to secure successful job completion.

Typical Duties
Organizing client/site/project meetings, and issuance of agendas, meeting minutes etc.
Collating and issuance of various project information to all parties involved including other internal team members.
Understanding and cross - checking design documentation against specifications and the Client Brief.
Liaising with the design team, client and other trades to ensure the correct works have been included.
Producing programmes and countdown schedules then checking with all parties involved.
Preparing tender and request for proposal (RFP) documentation for various trades and services including analysis of returns.
Carrying out site visits/surveys throughout the project in order to record information on the progress of the project and incorporate into formal reports.
Checking and reporting that quality standards, authority submissions and all health & safety requirements are being adhered to.
Monitoring the value and cost data of the project to ensure the budgets are met, including assistance with preparation of budgets and cost reports.
Checking and administering the change control process.
Assist with the preparation and issuance of Client Progress Reports and Recommendations.
Compiling defects and inspection reports and ensuring all defects get completed.
Assist with compiling final accounts, closeout reports, O&M manuals, as-built drawings etc.
Required Skills/Qualifications
An industry qualification in one of the following: Interior Design, Quantity Surveying, Building, Civil Engineering, Architecture or MEP.
Specific experience of working on interior fit out / decoration projects preferably retail, commercial or hospitality projects.
At least 3-5 years prior experience in a Project Management or Consulting role.
Excellent interpersonal skills, written and spoken English and Mandarin
Highly motivated, energetic and hard working.
