JOB OVERVIEW:

Describe the purpose of this job and why it exists:`

The Dow Chemical Company has a challenging opportunity for an entry level EH&S area expertise to fill our open Product Safety Assistant position located in Shanghai, China. This role is aligned to Dow's China EH&S Product Regulatory Organization.

The candidate will work under the coach of senior regulatory experts and collaborate with the EH&S organization such as Product Stewardship(PSS), Hazard Communication, Toxicology and Environmental Research and Consulting (TERC) to support regulatory registration projects related to a major Merger & Acquisition project.

Location for this role is at the Shanghai Dow Center, China.

Core Responsibilities:

• Product Regulatory Registration projects – New Chemical Registration; Hazardous Chemical Registration

• Chemical Management Reporting

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Positive, stable, team player with excellent interpersonal resolution skills.

• Good oral and written English skills

• Proficiency in use of MS Outlook, Excel, PPT, and most common office applications is required.

• Prior role in product stewardship, product regulatory service etc. is a plus

Experience:

1~ 2 years of relevant work experience

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in a discipline of:

Chemistry, Environment, Engineering, Toxicology, Industrial Hygiene etc.
