JOB SUMMARY:

The PHD Unlimited Project Engineer is responsible for the complete concept, design and manufacturability of Unique Solution ML’s. Work closely with MDN distributors, PHD customers, and other departments/business units within PHD to increase Unlimited product sales, decrease ML costs and assist in the overall growth of the organization. Assist the Unlimited Engineering Manager, Senior Unlimited Engineer, and Director on Special Projects when requested.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
? Accurately design and process ML’s orders
? Design cost down’s on ML’s when required
? Work on quotes that cannot be processed through the lean (ball park) process
? Assist the MDN distributor and/or customer to consultatively provide solution to a specific unique solution quote
? Assist Unlimited management on special projects when requested
? Assist other PHD departments with ML engineering/design issues
? Contribute to the monthly column for In Focus newsletter recommended
? Participate in Distributor/Customer training when requested

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
? Excellent CAD skills required
? Ability to interpret prints to determine modification needed required
? Ability to understand cost reduction and alternative designs for cost reduction required
? PHD product and troubleshooting knowledge required
? Superior knowledge on applying PHD products in various applications required
? Superior abilities to offer alternative solutions to specific unique solution applications required
? Ability to effectively communicate verbally and/or in writing required
? Ability to effectively work with MDN distributors verbally or in person required
? Excellent knowledge in the working principles of pneumatics and hydraulics required
? Superior knowledge of how the Unlimited group interacts and works with other departments at PHD
? Ability to travel when required
? Knowledge in departmental ISO requirements required
? Ability to present in PHD distributor schools required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
? Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or Engineering technology required
? 4+ years experience applying engineering skills recommended
? 2+ years experience in design required

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RELATIVE WEIGHT:
25% Design creativity and functionality on ML quotes and orders
25% Design accuracy on ML quotes and orders based on customer/distributor requirements
25% Time to Design of ML quotes and orders
25% Special Projects
