Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all parties are in trade compliance while managing cost and savings opportunities in an optimal manner.
- Establish appropriate strategies, objectives, initiatives, and achieve results to meet business objectives.
- Manage staff of related parties with regard to trade compliance support and customs agent.
- Liaise closely with operations to manage the timely import/export of goods (raw materials / equipment / finished goods) in and out of the country.
- In conjunction with the Regional Trade Manager and Government Affairs team, ensure the development and manage relationships with key customs officials between company, and related parties.
- Demonstrate attention to detail in administering customs declaration documentation.
Reporting Structure: Procurement & Distribution Manager
Education & Experience
- College degree or above. Majored in international trading or related area is preferred.
- 2 years or more working experience in a manufacturing company.
Required Skills
- Possess the ability to effectively work with government officials; display patience and persistence in approaching government officials.
- Apply broad functional knowledge of Global Trade Compliance, security and logistics processes.
- Communicates and collaborates effectively both internally/externally, and cross functionally operating effectively with diverse.
- Exhibits sound decision making skills and exercises good judgment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal functional direction.
Desired Skills
- Experience on handling customs handbook on import & export operation.
Soft Skills
- Good command of both spoken and written English.
- Strong PC skills, especially on MS Office.
- Having team efforts in cross-department coordination to fulfill company objectives.
- Self-motivated, multi-tasked, having a sense of urgency about what to do.
