A hunter for new business, responsible for complex relationship development with highest value customers, the achievement of sales milestones, often not initially turnover based and the management of relationships with the high potential customers designated to him/her. Taking target customers from low-level-relationships to the point of hand-over to sales farmers, i.e. when Festo is the preferred automation partner.


Impact on Business (i.e. business contribution, nature and scope of responsibility, risk and financial management, strategic/tactical/operative responsibility)

? Creation of detailed, mid-range account strategies in agreement with the customer.
? Build-up and management of account and project teams, including operational management of specialists engaged on customer projects.
? Planning of activities necessary to achieve sales objectives.
? Identify and win projects based on excellent automation competence.
? International cooperation.
? Achieve development milestones with designated customers.
? Ensure satisfactory levels of customer satisfaction with designated customers.
? Effective performance of sales meetings with customers to identify needs and gain customer acceptance of Festo product and solutions.
? Development of necessary levels of knowledge regarding decision makers, decision making processes and requirements of customers to be able to win respect and gain influence at highest management levels.



Communication with internal and/or external Customers, Suppliers as well as Third Parties
(indicate nature and context of client relationship and service delivery, required communication skills, frequency of communication (i.e. infrequent =few times a year, occasional= few times a month, frequent= regular but not daily, continuous= daily)
? Close cooperation with international connected customers (continuous)
? Establish, expand and maintain customer relationships (continuous)
? Close cooperation with other Festo companies and different functional areas from headquarters (complete supply chain) (frequent)
? Coaching of Sales Engineers in difficult negotiations/projects (occasional)


Innovation and Change (i.e. range and diversity of activities, problems, processes, market dynamics and management challenges that need to be recognized and resolved, improvement of processes, systems or products)

? Supports the definition and marketing of customer solutions as input for the product development process.
? Initiates and leads process improvements in order to develop key accounts in a more efficient and effective way e.g. through capacity planning in SAP.
? Contributes to the product development process within the scope of developing solutions by identification and internationalisation of customer requirements with regard to products and systems.
