OVERVIEW
The Manager, Planning, Optimization and Asia Transportation Operations Center (ATOC) is responsible for the strategic planning and design of our Asia transportation network. The candidate drives optimization initiatives and supports the development of innovative and efficient Inbound, Outbound, and Parcel delivery solutions for the retail and e-commerce businesses in Asia.
This role will have an immediate focus on the Asia Transportation Operations Center and the implementation of a transportation management system for Greater China, directly working with cross-functional business partners (internal and external) to launch and manage the Asia Transportation Operations Management (ATOM) system.
This position strongly supports the operational deliverables and strategic initiatives of the Asia Domestic Transportation function through analytics and planning, collaborating closely with operations teams in Asia and Global Supply Chain Logistics.
This role reports to the Director, Asia Domestic Transportation, and is based in Shanghai.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES
? Lead the setup of ATOC and ATOM in 2018 under cooperation with Gap Product Management, Gap Tech, procurement and transportation operations
? Develop Transportation Management System (TMS) to greatly enhance end-to-end operations efficiency
? Evolve retail and online transportation visibility initiatives
? Responsible for the project management and execution of new initiatives
? Develop forecasting models and scenario analysis
? Operationalize any new service(s) or processes for hand-off to the functional operations leaders
? Initiate advanced transportation planning concepts and create solutions to turn them into quantifiable and executable processes
? Partner with in-market transportation leaders to continuously shorten lead times and save costs
? Support Asia Domestic Transportation leaders in the development of Long Range Plans (LRP) and Annual Operation Plans (AOP)
? Promote a winning attitude between transportation with other business functions
? Provide insightful ad-hoc analyses or process improvement recommendations
? Monitor industry best practices and trends, and share across the Asia Pacific region and put the agreed working methods into documented standard operating procedures
? Able to present ideas and concepts to large groups and convey information in a professional manner
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
? University degree in related field, i.e., Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Management, Finance, Engineering or Information Systems
? 5-7 years of transportation experience with progressive responsibility within Supply Chain discipline (i.e., Logistics, Inventory Management, 3PL, Store Operations, Supply Chain Strategy, e-Commerce) for retail or market-driven customer service industry
? 3-5 years of people management experience
? Strong written and spoken communication skills: fluent in English and Mandarin
? Experience in developing and analyzing transportation models and developing strategic plans
? Extensive knowledge of project management best practices and tools, and ability to effectively manage large strategic projects with minimal supervision
? Proficiency in Microsoft Suite skills (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Project)
? Experience in creating impactful presentations and the ability to present information to the Executive Leadership
? Able to drive initiatives in a complex working environment
? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
? Required to travel both domestically and internationally
