Main responsibilities and tasks:
Continuously improve the quality performance and efficiency along the product development and production process to ensure products are developed and delivered in the right quality.
Technical Support
? Support suppliers, merchandisers and QC in all aspects related to quality assurance and problem solving from sample creation through to the finished production
? Arrange regular trainings with all relevant staff and supplier to ensure an up to date knowledge of all manuals and standards and to ensure that learning from claims are considered in the daily work
? Ensure all apparel suppliers work with INTERSPORT quality and safety standards and guidelines, to enable production of the right quality within the agreed time frame. Provide professional visit/audit report after supplier visit and share with related department.
? Create, maintain and update manuals and standards related to the production of apparel, in close cooperation with IIC and direct customer.
? Control and sign off on any production pattern or workmanship related topics in close cooperation with IIC or direct customers, to ensure compliance with INTERSPORT standards.
? Work with IIC, MD, QC and suppliers in claim case handling, study and analysis.
? Maintain an updated filing system and mock up library for the manuals / guidelines (workmanship standard e.g. sewing, welding, labeling, taping and other manufacturing processes).
Involvement in Direct Development
? Create Measurement List/grading
? Fitting (measure/ fitting on Dummy, exception for Beanie)
? Commenting on fit for all samples and size set
? Referencing product information in PLM and ensure the correctness of the data
Testing
? Initiate and monitor the execution of all test (focus on physical testing and SMS/Bulk washing) along the product development and production, in close cooperation with IOF merchandisers and QC as well exchange with IIC and direct customers
Fitting and sizing for Asia market
? Continuous develop and maintain Asian size blocks, patterns and grading system in close cooperation with IAP
Other tasks assigned by the superior
Requirements:
? Major in business English, foreign trade or with textile education background
? 3~ 5 years working experience with QA position in outdoor garment/textile industry
? Strong knowledge in the set up and processes of apparel factories: organization, production process, efficiency, lead times, etc
? Strong knowledge of garment production with strong emphasis on production techniques and workmanship construction of functional garments
? Basic knowledge of Textile knowledge (yarn, fabric constructions, textile chemistry, trims, prints, etc.)
? Strong knowledge of all applicable markets for sports apparel to be able to judge standards, claims, etc. in a commercial context and through benchmarking against other brands
? Strong understanding of the physiological needs of a functional garment (within the context of the category)
? Strong pattern making skills and the ability to judge fits. Knowledge of European and Asian pattern system and differences
? Solid presentation and communication skills in both written and spoken English and Mandarin
? Team player and open-mind
