PRIMARY FUNCTION
Support the Director of SE/SW Asia Import Transportation to manage day to day operations of Target’s Asian overseas consolidators in accordance with standard operating procedures. Supervise the Asia Import Transportation Analyst. Analyzing and executing corporate initiatives that support our global import transportation network. Managing SE/SW Asia supply chain costs and efficiencies including trucking, port and 3PL consolidation operations.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Business Partner Management: Monitor performance of Asian Overseas Consolidators and Domestic Trucking Company including level of service, systems and contract compliance through existing and new performance KPI.
2. Business Partner Development: Develop strong business relationships with Asian Overseas Consolidators and Domestic Trucking Company working collaboratively to drive network efficiencies.
3. Training and Development: Provide Import Transportation team members with on-boarding training that encompasses Targets cultural environment, functional training on Transportation and places emphasis on Individual team member development. Provide training support to merchandising, consolidators, trucking company and vendors on processes and procedures.
4. Project Management: Collaborate with other industry leaders to stay abreast of legislative changes, emerging trends of the global supply chain. Conduct analysis on current and new projects impacting the supply chain relating to the ports of export
5. Process Development and Analysis: Develop, document and implement operational CDM and best practices by researching Target Corporation’s needs/expectations for executing product movement through the supply chain. Provide analytical support and recommendations to management.
6. Network Planning & Analysis: Initiate reporting pertaining to historical/current shipment volumes, including FOB and FCA mode and cost, associated with Target Corporation’s sourcing strategies to ensure optimal routing and allocation of product through the supply chain
7. Miscellaneous: Lead special projects related to Import Transportation’s current strategies and initiatives.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
4 year University/College degree or equivalent
6 years of transportation or logistics experience
Ability to communicate and work with diverse cultural backgrounds
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Strong leadership and decision making skills
Strong communication, critical thinking and analytical skills
Strong MS office skills and able to use all relevant tools and systems
Excellent communication skills in English and local office language, both written and verbal
DESIRED
1) Familiarity with transportation, merchandising, and/or procurement
2) MBA, or active pursuit thereof
