Job Purpose:
To carry-out the necessary accounting duties for the subsidiary of a 75 year old US based Manufacturing Company
with subsidiaries in 10 countries around the world. This long-standing business is a manufacturer of capital goods
which are sold into many markets including the metalworking, packaging, plastics, rubber, recycling, food, mining,
aggregate and textiles.
Reporting to:
Indirect (Dotted line) – Managing Director – China
Direct – Corporate CFO (USA based)
Duties:
? Responsible for Day-to-Day Accounting Functions
? Management and monitoring of internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as
budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting
? Maintenance of General and Subsidiary ledgers including reconciliation of all accounts
? Asset and Inventory management
? Prepare China consolidation of operations with monthly balance sheet and income statement
? Prepare intercompany entries to eliminate intercompany activity
? Monthly reporting, both internally and to head office
? Job costing
? Commission reporting to agents/representatives
? Responsible for Year-end Audits – Work with Auditors
? Royalty calculations
? Export and Import documentation
? Cash flow management
? Preparation of Operating Budgets and Forecasting
? Monthly tax calculation and reporting
? Responsible for Managing Company Banking
? Updating Office Environment and Accounting Systems
? Responsibility for all payroll functions, including understanding of awards and bonus
? Payroll tax
? Supervision of Admin/Reception/Accounting Staff
Skills/Qualifications Required:
? Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) in Accounting
? Minimum of 5 years’ experience in General Accounting
? Has worked with general ledger systems.
? Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
? Manufacturing / Cost Accounting Experience
? Understanding of China Tax Requirements
? Understanding of US GAAP Accounting Methods
? Good Communication Skills
? Previous experience with Transfer Pricing Rules (OECD Regs)
? Willingness to travel overseas occasionally (USA, Europe)

? Good personality with excellent interpersonal skills.
? Prior management skills
? Fluency in English with good verbal and written skills.
? Ability to communicate in other languages an asset.
