Generally speaking, he/she is a key member of the Greater China and ASEAN C&B team for payroll processing and SOX Audit. This payroll officer is responsible for all aspects of China, Taiwan, Singapore, Vietnam, India, South Korea’s monthly payroll calculation.
Main focus is on payroll processing and reports as well as providing full support to employees on payroll related matters with the highest level of service.
Responsibility:
- Perform day-to-day operations of payroll data maintenance and process, ensure timely as well as accurate execution.
- Review, reconcile and substantiate entries to the general ledger accounts for payroll.
- Be responsible for handling the enrollment and separation of employment between GC and ASEAN payroll vendors
- Assist to declare the monthly Individual Tax through e-tax system for Mainland China
- Be responsible for the monthly settlement of Supplementary Life and Medical Insurance within GC and ASEAN countries
- Be the first contact to handle Q&A from employees, line managers relating with individual payroll, company C&B policies, labor contract law and regulations.
Experience and Professional Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in business related field.
- Minimum 1-3 years of payroll experience; well knowledge of China/Shanghai payroll rules and regulations is a must.
- Solid understanding of the entire payroll cycle including processing salaries and social benefits in China.
- Proven data mining, research and analytical skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills; fluent English
- Knowledge of SAP Time and Payroll module preferred
