About the Job
Develop and execute Market Segment Strategies / support development of overall Automotive Products (Passenger Car Products) Strategy
* Drive strategic growth opporunties, strong focus on high voltage applications and Japanese OEM’s
* Support sales, through joint calls/customer visits and marketing materials, to drive success in focus segments;
* Develop market intelligence on Automotive Products market segments and applications as well as geographies, including market trends and competitive landscape;
* Develop and maintain overall Automotive Products Total Available Market (TAM) model;
* Drive overall Automotive Products strategic direction as it relates to market segments; support AUTOMOTIVE PRODUCTS strategy as it relates to Product Roadmap/Technolgy Roadmap
Develops and drives Automotive Products New Product Development Strategy, working in conjunction with Product Management, Sales and Product Development Council (PDC), including
* Develop Product Roadmaps, with input from New Market Products group for Market Product Roadmap;
* Set prioritization for development of new products with oversight from PDC; and
* Market Product Requirements Documents
* Maintain Tech Comm Metrics
Own and drive the NPP/PPA process:
* Through prioritization – balancing market opportunities (return, timing potential, etc.) for both custom and market development vs. available bandwidth of resources (and factoring in risks), and drive into a phase 1 development. This includes some prelimnary product conceptionalization, pricing analysis, identifying / and addressing risks, etc.
* Track and drive the new product portfolio in accordance with Automotive Products strategic plan
Outreach:
Support the following internal and external stakeholders:
* Sales: Support large / strategic customer engagement for new business opportunities
* Engineering: Support New Technology Roadmap, liasson support on custom programs
* Product Management: Support development of product line strategies, definition of market pricing and competitor analysis
* Standards bodies: Help define standards that affect Automotive Products and, as appropriate, participate in as a Littelfuse representative.
Ownership of market lauch process
* Define market launch requirements for Market Products, provide Marcom with information / documentation required for product launches, datasheets, application notes
* Develop product and applications expertise within sales and FAE organizations through product training, joint customer vistis, and launch packages for new products
* Maintain internal web based communication tools and maintain standard presentations and technical information
* Support industry shows for new product introduction
About You
* BS in Engineering. Graduate degree in engineering or MBA considered an asset.
* 5+ years experience in a Engineering, Sales, and/or Product management position, with customer facing experience, preferably in the Automotive Electrical Systems.
* Experience with high voltage electrical systems is an asset
* Experience with Japanese OEM’s is an asset
* Fluency in English with good written and verbal communications is a requirement, fluency in Japanese is an asset
Stong analytical skills
* Proven ablity to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
* Self motivator with strong drive to achieve business objectives
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities without daily supervision
* Open to average 40% international travel
