SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:
1. Understanding of the connector standards and processes, including metal stamping, plastic molding, metal electro-plating, connector testing, and connector assembly and signal integrity.
2. Knowledge about the technical standards, operation procedures, key RD contacts, product landscape, etc, of the target customers.
3. Ability to make compelling technical presentations. Good English verbal and written communication skills.
4. Willing to travel over 50% of the time to customer sites throughout China with minimal notice provided.
5. Work experience: 5 years of relevant field application engineering, hardware design, and/or SMT process engineering with multinational companies in similar industries.
6. A bachelor or post-graduate engineering degree in mechanical or electrical/electronic engineering disciplines.
7. Habit of persevering to complete objectives on time, with quality thought and execution. Able to quickly summarize and report project progress quantitatively and with in-depth details within aggressive time frames.
8. Self-starter. Strong initiative. Performs duties with positive enthusiasm and influential skills. Strong work ethic. Willing to commit necessary time to achieve objectives. Flexible to work early mornings, late nights, or weekends as dictated by the workload and opportunity.
9. Tolerance to work across international cultures developing strong interpersonal contacts and commitments. Ability to work collaboratively with customers and colleagues in stressful situations, while providing professional and courteous technical expertise.
10. Ability to build camaraderie, trust, and a sense of team spirit among the team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Internal
1. Participates regular key account/project/NBO reviews with Sales, BDMs, and/or FAEs to ensure the offering of solutions in timely manner.
2. Drives internal CMIO resources to support and win new projects.
3. Ownership of meeting business targets and forecasts of new projects and key customers.
4. Support North America and Europe transferred business opportunities.
5. Report project progress in regular basis.
External
1. Identifying new business opportunities, maximizing incoming orders, and chasing new orders for CMIO.
2. Work with customers in developing new connector designs, modifying existing designs, qualification testing, sampling, and all related technical activities.
3. Make presentations to customers and distributors.
4. Establish customer-focused product positioning and customer penetration strategies.
5. Visit target customers with Sales, BDMs, and/or FAEs, to promote CMIO products and create applications.
Others
1. Advocate product and market competitive positioning to Product Marketing, and Engineering.
2. Other job-related responsibilities and duties will be assigned from time to
COMPUTER SKILLS: Microsoft Office. Ability of any CAD 3D modeling software will be an added advantage.
DIRECT REPORTING:
Reporting to Manager, Global Project Management, Commercial IO.
Close working relationships with cohort engineers, Amphenol Sales and product managers worldwide.
OFFICE LOCATION: Prefer Shanghai, but Hangzhou and Nanjing will also be considered.
