Position: HR Assistant Relocation Services
Line of Business: WDI
Department: Human Resource
Location: Shanghai
Reports to (Title): Relocation Services Manager (Direct)
Position Overview
The HR Assistant Relocation Services contributes to Disney’s success by assisting new foreign hires through a smooth and professional transition from overseas to arrival in China. The HR Assistant is a strong communicator who maintains excellent relationships with International Recruitment and the China based HR team while providing support and guidance to foreign employees. The HR Assistant also provides assistance to the Relocation Services Manager in the overall day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department.
Key Responsibilities
? Document collection and communication with incoming candidates throughout visa process
? Manage relationship with 3rd party vendor to obtain and process candidates’ initial employment license, invitation letter, work visa, work permit, residence permit as well as subsequent renewals.
? Close coordination with International Recruiting associated with candidate arrivals in China:
? Assist in the coordination of the Welcome Committee (arrange transportation, coordinate hotels, set up Day 1 welcome lunch, medical check, opening bank account, PSB registration, etc.)
? Coordinate orientation and on-boarding processes for newly hired foreigners
? Coordinate with Regional HR to ensure accurate information is provided with regards to foreign employees’ compensation and benefits.
? Facilitate the transfer and relocation of foreign employees to different cities
Working Relationships
? Internal: Disney Regional & National HR teams, Foreign Employees, International Recruiting
? External: Visa Specialists & Local Vendors
Requirements
Key Requirements:
? Bachelor degree in relevant field
? Ability to drive HR processes and to deliver high quality HR services in a fast paced, highly dynamic/changing environment.
? Must be able to build strong relationships and trust throughout the organization.
? A high ability to manage execution and manage multiple demands
? Ability & experience to manage high volume of paperwork with a high degree of accuracy, thoroughness & timeliness
? Ability to communicate effectively with foreign individuals to resolve issues and create feeling of comfort
? Show sound judgment to make decisions and display appropriate sense of urgency
? High level of responsibility & ownership
? Ability to effectively communicate and manage vendors & vendor services
? Proficiency with computer systems
? Strong ability in both English & Chinese is vital
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential
Preferred Skills & Experience
? 2-3 years work experience as HR Generalist, and experience in large Multi-National Corporation is preferred.
? Experience working in a multi-cultural team and specific interaction with foreign employees
? Previous experience in dynamic organization is desired
? Experience with China visa process is desired
? Knowledge of principles and procedures for China visa & permit processes
? Knowledge of HR information systems
