GENERAL SUMMARY:
Sr. HR Specialist assists in the development and implementation of various HR policies and procedures in the Shanghai Gap Inc. Support employees in different categories from apparel to Accessory. This Sr. HR Specialist role particularly focuses on talent development, management and employee relations. As a trusted member of the Shanghai HR team, Sr. HR Specialist also helps to drive employee engagement and the culture of Gap Inc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Function HR work
? Consult with functional BHR and Sr. HRM to drive the effective delivery of HR programs across all of the major areas of HR: C&B, performance management, management effectiveness, communication, recognition programs and employee benefits.
? Act as a resource on HR policies and procedures for both Managers and employees
? Coach and support Managers and employees on HR related issues
2. Recruitment
? Responsible for developing Talent recruitment channels
? Evaluate and update the JD based on Biz needs.
? Work closely with hiring Managers to understand business requirements
? Source candidates, schedule and conduct interviews
? Ensure the timely placement of qualified associates within cost budget
? Follow up the onboarding process of new employees
3. Employee Relations
? Serves a consultant to managers on employee relations issues of low complexity.
? Assists managers with assessment of individual and team performance improvement/enhancement needs and development of associated action plans
? Partners with HR Ops team & BHRs to advance essential issues.
? Partners and/or coaches managers to create and deliver action plans that will have a direct impact on employee engagement and retention.
? Works with managers and employees to investigate and resolve employee relations issues.
4. Talent Development (Key Responsibilities)
? Working closely with Learning & Development team in different locations to identify the local L&D plan
? Conduct and track, evaluate the training feedback
? Drive IDP implement, and provide customize the solution to the line manager
? Promote various talent/training project deployment
5. Employee Engagement & Communications (Key Responsibilities)
? Lead employee communication and activities
? Lead, plan & responsible for employee annual activities in different locations
? Support administration and analysis of the Employee Opinion Survey
? Ensure the facilitation of Learning and Development programs
ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: HR Shanghai, China Retail and Hong Kong HR teams, Business managers
External: HR agency vendors
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Knowledge, skills & abilities:
? Perform work independently and make sound judgments
? Ability to communicate in both Chinese and English (oral and written)
? Extensive knowledge of China labor law
? Solid understanding of HR policies and practices – particularly Recruiting
? Ability to understand, analyze and apply data to improve HR policies
? Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work across cultures
? Strong time management and organizational skills
? Strong level of initiative and ability to be proactive
? Microsoft Office (User experience in PeopleSoft is a plus)
2. Minimum educational level:
? University degree preferably in Human Resources or law related.
3. Minimum experience:
? More than 8years of work experience as an HR Generalist with 5 years working as training function
? Multinational or international sourcing company experience preferred.
4. Physical Requirements:
? 10% Travel may required
