Scope of Work
1. SME on China customs and indirect tax issues including deep technical knowledge on tariff classification & duty liabilities, indirect tax and aspects of customs valuation; Skilled regime manager such as temporary imports, bonded operations and FTZ;
2. Point of contact for brokers and internal personnel to ensure customs and CIQ clearance is done accurately and in a timely manner. Conduct research where necessary and provide technical responses to questions related to import/export compliance;
3. Interface with JVs on operational level and escalate matters as and when appropriate;
4. Liaise with and form professional relationships with customs, CIQ and other import/export related government authorities for regulatory updates and keep up-to-date with various trade regulations changes – inform relevant internal GM stakeholders of such updates;
5. Manage GM China daily Customs Operations and escalate issues and seek guidance from China Customs manager
Requirements:
? 4-6 years working experience in Trade Compliance and Customs Operations Area, in industry and/or Big 4 Firm background (preferred);
? Effective communication in English working environment, written and spoken;
? Skilled in customs technical areas such as HS classification & Customs valuation
