TITLE: Senior Analyst or Asso Manager, Finance DATE: Jul 2017
DEPARTMENT: Finance GRADE: 18
REPORTING TO: Manager Finance (Hong Kong) LOCATION: Shanghai
GENERAL SUMMARY: This position is responsible for Full finance function of Shanghai office, including Internal control compliances and providing Financial planning supports to Hong Kong Office, supervising an accountant to perform regulatory reporting, managing payments and expenses tracking. Responsibilities included providing support to other Finance Managers, Shanghai GM, and Business Partners across functions and locations to ensure target savings are achieved.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Financial Planning and reporting
? Work with Closing Accountant to ensure financial activities are property recorded
? Responsible for delivering monthly forecast and annual budget related to Category expenses in Shanghai office in a timely manner
? Prepare variance analysis and commentary versus budget, prior forecast and last year
? Work closely with Hong Kong team in tracking and controlling of key expenses, e.g. Travel, Staff cost, relocation costs
? Ensure compliances of Internal control requirements, (e.g. Banking policy and Chop usage policy, Code of business conduct)
2. Business supports
? Partner with business partners in evaluating financial impact in any operation changes
? Review contract and advise on property term
? Coordinate and work closely with business partners to understand the cost drivers and reason behind deviation, and propose action plan for improvements
? Supports business partners in KPI tracking, e.g. productivity review, utilization report
3. Others
? Provide assistance on any ad hoc projects that are related to the above areas
? Assist in the preparation of planning templates, management review deck, etc.
ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS: Report to Hong Kong FP&A Manager, while dotted line to Shanghai GM
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Knowledge, skills & abilities:
? Strong PC skills, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
? Good Chinese and English language skills, both oral and written
? Robust analytical and problem solving abilities
? Effective communication and interpersonal skills
? Able to work both independently and as part of a team
? Ability to prioritize and be flexible with priorities shift
? Attention to details is critical
? Self-motivated, hard-driven, with earnest desire to learn and grow
? Corporate experience in Oracle and Essbase are strongly preferred
2) Minimum educational/professional level:
? College degree from Accounting/Finance/ Business
? Accounting professional or certification or equivalent
3) Minimum experience:
? 6 to 7 years multinational corporate experience in financial planning
? Sound knowledge in PRC accounting rule preferred
? Proved track record of being a business partners in matrix environment
? Being able to handle work efficiently as an individual contributor
