Key Responsibilities:

· Catalyst Commercial Business

  1. Negotiates or advises CLSCSD on new catalyst supply agreements(spot or long-term) for customers with expiring contracts.
  2. Responsible for helping to develop and maintain Univation's relationship with China’s key enterprises that are UNIPOL? PE licensees – such as CNOOC, PetroChina, Sinopec, and Coal chemical companies.
  3. Responsible for the ongoing sales and service of catalyst to existing licensees as well as the identification of new catalyst sales and service opportunities.
  4. Maintains good personal relationships with key licensee representatives such that Univation’s catalyst business is as secure as possible. Handles catalyst commercial issues that arise in the implementation of the licensees’ projects and after start-up of their plants.
  5. Achieve the UNIVATION catalyst sales target in China, defend the UTZJG UCAT? J catalyst market share in China.

· Industry Trends and Univation Development Catalyst Commercialization

  1. Responsible for negotiating developmental catalyst evaluations with targeted UNIPOL? PE licensees in China.
  2. Responsible for monitoring and identifying new catalyst business opportunities at existing licensees in China that span the product offerings of Univation.
  3. Responsible for monitoring catalyst competitors and the competitive catalyst environment targeted in China. Brings actionable information to the attention of Univation management (Univation Leadership Team, Catalyst Operations Team, Commercial Leadership Team) in time to implement beneficial Univation actions before a negative catalyst commercial impact is incurred.
  4. Works with Marketing and Technology to share new offerings with potential customers at Trade Shows and/or Technical Conferences.
  5. Support the ATC/NCC team from commercial aspect on ACCLAIM/BMC/MCN trial activities in China



Qualifications

  1. Experienced in external customer relationships and negotiations and understanding of technical selling.
  2. Seasoned employee with strong level of maturity (e.g., 3-8 years’ experience) who can work independently.
  3. Sound technical skills and either a basic understanding of Licensing, the polyolefin (PE and/or PP) Business, polyolefin catalyst business, and/or UNIPOL? PE or PP Process Technology or the ability to acquire this knowledge rapidly on the job.
  4. Strong commercial skills to be able to (1) analyze customer needs, (2) develop and implement effective customer strategies including value propositions and all elements of the market mix, (3) analyze and understand market, customer and competitive factors, and (4) influence, negotiate and gain consensus.
  5. Basic understanding of financial information.
  6. Sound interpersonal skills to be able to form good working relationships with internal and external contacts. Ability to identify the key individuals within the customer companies and promote UNIPOL? PE catalysts and products convincingly to influence decision makers.
  7. Good problem solving skills.
  8. Confidence and ability to negotiate effectively with very high level customer representatives (may include corporate executive levels in major petrochemical companies, owners of private businesses, and government-appointed executives).
  9. Ability to function effectively in fluid or ambiguous situations.
  10. International business and cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  11. Good time and information management skills to cope with multiple customers, overlapping demands and complex offerings.
  12. Take independent action to influence the way Univation services its licensing and catalyst customers.
  13. Identify new and creative ways to service Univation’s licensees, while judiciously applying resources to engagements that will yield the best return.
  14. Influence CSS organization to deliver on its catalyst sales commitments to ensure forecasted revenue is received on schedule without sacrificing quality or customer satisfaction.
