Job Duties:
The Manager, Quality Engineering (“QE Manager”) is a business leader who is responsible for understanding the requirements related to how product is constructed and tested by Whalen Asia, and ensuring that all subordinates are properly trained to understand each of these quality engineering areas.
? Oversight over a team of Quality Engineers that oversee QE for assigned products & ensure Whalen gets the best performance out of each team member.
? Review product construction & CAD files to ensure that Whalen products are properly constructed, ensuring safety and reliability at the appropriate price point.
? Investigate and resolve product and / or production engineering issues to ensure that product is of proper quality level.
? Train Quality Engineers to strictly follow all Whalen engineering procedures and standards, including Whalen and Customer standards, and ensure that sign-offs are accurate.
? Review Quality Engineering processes from start to finish and make improvements, where necessary, to allow the quality engineers to move with speed.
? Ensure that the Quality Engineers are following the QE Green Item List and getting projects done ahead or on time.
? Follow-up on QE Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) by completing relevant research, determining root causes to issues, determining action plans to address the issue, and presenting photographs to show issues have been resolved.

Requirements:
? Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) or equivalent from four-year college or university, or more than ten years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
? Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
? 5+ years of experience in furniture.
? Knowledge of ISTA, BIFMA, UL, SOHO, ASTM, EN ,etc. standard for furniture .
? Knowledge of chemical and textile standard. Able to know the mandatory tests for furniture and necessary textile tests for upholstered furniture.
? Knowledge of the production process for furniture.
? Can travel locally and internationally and to work in factories for extended periods of time.
? Must be detail oriented and able to work under pressure and with constant deadlines.
? The QE Manager must possess the ability to read, write, and speak conversational English, including technical terminology related to quality engineering.
? The QE Manager must possess the ability to define problems, collect data, complete root cause analysis, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
? The QE Manager must possess the ability to interpret audit results and determine the appropriate course of action a factory must take to address any issues. 举报 分享
