Responsibilities:
Develop motor design solutions to suit new products, work independently.
Create and review product documentation (drawings/specifications) from suppliers and provide improvement proposals.
Determine suitable components and product manufacturing processes.
Follow project schedules, testing, and understand the results to implement improvements.
Understand the cost factors of design and process, support value engineering initiatives.
Discuss projects with overseas visitors/customers as required.
Identify new potential suppliers. Visit finished good suppliers, sub-suppliers and understand their working procedures, control and abilities to manufacture correct components to the drawing/specification.
Understand product safety and compliance, able to work according to UL and IEC standards.
Requirements：
At least 5 years work experience in Electrical Motor design in home appliance or power tools manufacturing business environment.
Minimum 8+ years, motor design and serial production experience.
Understand motor specification, motor components and processes.
Good practical knowledge of motor fundamentals, brushless technology, energy usage and noise levels.
Good matrial and component knowledge.
Good technical analysis and problem solving skills.
Good understanding of Quality Control tools and procedures (FMEA’s, SPC, DOE)
Good understanding of high series manufacturing processes.
Proficient in reading & understanding CAD for design and drafting.
