BD Support Latin America

Company
Our client is a growing logistics and freight forwarding company, with more than 50 years of experience. We provide our clients with a full range of services: sea freight, air freight, trucking customs services, e-commerce logistics…from and to all destinations, with a focus in Asia, Europe, North Africa and USA.

Location: Shanghai
Report to: BDM ISAAC ACHERMAN

Responsibility
Purpose of the position
? Assisting BD team to drive more businesses opportunities with the Latin American Agents, get/close sales lead received from overseas as well as ensuring smooth operations for these new businesses.
? Following up the shipments and responding to Latin American Inquiries.

Key Tasks
Business Development
1. Understand and follow up the rate level market between Asia and Latin America.
2. Prepare quotation to Overseas Agents and direct customers.
3. Update FAK rates in a daily basis to Overseas agents
4. Follow up operation and ensure the service level required by Latin American Agents and Direct Customers as well as responding to each’s SOP.
5. Generate Sales Leads to overseas partners as well as target sales leads received from them
6. Keeping close and daily communications with our procurement venders as well as with the OP team from each POL/AOL.

Preparation for Marketing material & Agents/Client SOPs
7. Maintain regular customer tariffs, monitoring necessary activities including rate or service update
8. Develop relationship with agents by attending to meetings/Skype conferences and/or phone calls
9. Being backup for BDM team when Manager is out of office
10. Maintain updated PPT of company group and company China
11. Prepare rate campaigns to Latin American agents along with Procurement vendors

BDM Administrative
12. Generate and maintain reports and analysis per agents and per general development of the Latin American Trade.

Decision Making Authority
Consulting the Business Development Manager regarding:
? The use of special contracts
? Loss in a DO
? Introduction of new agents to the company

Function / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / Process Working
? Functional experience in pricing of air / sea / warehousing
? Basic sales knowledge and customer/agent’s relationship
? Complete understanding of the products can be offered by Company China structure
? Understanding of Latin American Trade Lane

Educational Background / Work Experience
? College certificate
? 3 years of general industry business experience, preferable in freight forwarding.
? Language skills: English, Spanish and local language. English is a must.
? High competency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
