TITLE: Assistant Merchandiser, Production DATE: June 2017 FLSA:

REPORTING TO: Production Manager SUBFUNCTION:

GENERAL SUMMARIES:
The Assistant Merchant, Production is responsible for order management from pre-booking, placement to shipment in efficient and effective manner. Monitor order tracking & ensure orders are in quality compliance with on time delivery. Manage product development for China Unique styles. Build effective partnership with Global Production/Merchants, GIS, internal & external business stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Product Development (5%)
? Close collaboration with CN merchants & GIS to execute development of China unique products in support of business needs.
? Order management landing final approval, price negotiation, T&A for order placement and delivery etc.
? System maintenance to support new China style set up.
? Support chase business placements for China market within short lead time.
? Work with GIS in recommending product esthetic changes on China high risk styles, mitigating in-market challenge

2) Order Management (90%)
? Seasonal Placement - Manage seasonal pre-bookings & final placements, working between China IM & GIS. manage & ensure all complete & accurate details of placements, including size breakdown to GIS in accordance to timeline. Seed the styles for PO creation
? Cost - validate and maintain cost accuracy in ACT. Update system for any changes.
? Order Tracking – track shipping exception reports from 3rd party Logistics to identify problems & troubleshoot to maintain on time delivery of goods. React to business impact by working closely with IM for late shipments
? Communication - with related cross functional teams closely to download changes & impact to business
? Quality - partner with COE PI and China PI to call out potential quality failures with risk assessment & recommendation. Work with GIS VM to manage China High Risk Test failure.
? Chargeback process - manage chargeback with GIS/vendor to recover liability.
? Advertising samples – place & track receipts from GIS in supporting Marketing & Visual.
? Partnership – build effective relationships & partner across all internal & external stakeholders to drive results.

3) Product compliance – support related issues with CIQ/in market authorities (5%)
