Responsibilities:
? Program Manage projects through a broad base of Contract Manufacturing partners, subtier tooling shops and Molding companies.
? Use resources in the supply chain in a matrixed, virtual organization, to deliver success.
? Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving issues for plastic tooling and injection molding machinery
? Offer technical support on plastic materials, molding processes for manufacturing of coffee brewers and related products.
? Assist in execution of validation activities associated with new molded/extruded components and assemblies.
? Work with engineers on material and process selection and part design.
? Participate in new product/process launch initiatives and follow-up with current projects that require analysis and implementation of corrective actions
? As necessary, provide support in revising CAD documents and component drawings to comply with modified specifications made during product implementations.
? Identify opportunity for improving productivity and quality in manufacturing including but not limited to; scrap reduction, yield improvements, cost reductions, and overall quality improvement.
? Utilize of 6 sigma tools is a plus
? Metrology experience
o Familiar with measuring equipment and operate them eg., CMM, VMS…
o Design and run measurement calibration and tests
o Analyze the results
o Determine the final accuracy of the device or parts
o Knowledge of Measurement Standards and equipment calibration/maintenance
o Access and audit Metrology capabilities within our supply chain
QUALIFICATIONS:
? Bachelor's degree in plastics/mechanical engineering and 5-10 years of related tooling and injection molding manufacturing experience.
? Solid knowledge of injection and extrusion tool design and production techniques, such as the production effect of flow, temp, speeds, pressures, viscosity, density, etc.
? Previous experience in Multi-National Company preferred
? Prior experience with high volume consumer products
? Excellent multi-tasking and program management skills
? Strong problem solving skills and track record with a focus on process and quality improvement.
? Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with team members at all levels are required.
? Knowledge of design for manufacturing
? Fluent in English and Chinese ( Both Cantonese and Mandarin)
? Willing to learn attitude.
? Attention to Detail, Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
? Knowledge of ANSI drafting standards and ISO geometric tolerance standards is preferred.
? ASQ, Six Sigma knowledge and/or certification is preferred, but not required.
