GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY

The QE is a testing member who is responsible for understanding all of the requirements related to how testing standard & requirement is, and ensuring to understand each of these quality testing areas. Need to be responsible for the customer test requirement, daily reports, and need successfully complete all of their job functions, and for all the items to meet Whalen’s & customers’ test requirement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Review new items and conduct internal tests.
2. Review packaging and conduct drop tests.
3. Check testing sample.
4. Check production sample.
5. Issue test reports.
6. Follow up testing sample with 3rd labs and send necessary documents.
7. Confirm labels / stickers / documents / reports.
8. Estimate & design packing way / loading number for new items.
9. Follow up new item test requirement and check test requirement / protocols with 3rd labs.
10. Work out Whalen test standard / requirement.
11. Resolve issues from customer complaints.
EDUCATION & ABILITIES
? Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
? 5+ years of experience in furniture.
? Knowledge of ISTA, BIFMA, UL, SOHO, ASTM, EN ,etc. standard for furniture .
? Knowledge of chemical and textile standard .Able to know the mandatory tests for furniture and necessary textile tests for upholstered furniture
? Knowledge of production process of furniture
? Must have the ability to travel internationally and to work in factories for extended periods of time.
? Must be detail oriented and able to work under pressure and with constant deadlines
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Have ability to read and interpret technical documents in both English and their local language.

REASONING ABILITY
Have ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.
