<p>The incumbent will be responsible for overall P&amp;L performance of the group in China and will report directly to the chairman of the group who is based in Europe.</p><p><strong>Client Details</strong></p><p>Our client has been producing and marketing food products since the early nineties. The company produces and markets food products (mints, sweeteners, chocolates, cake and cookie mixes) that are mostly sugar free or diet related and are marketed either to large retail groups (Carrefour, Tesco, Liedl etc) under private label, or else under own and licensed brands for direct distribution to retail channels through own sales force (China, USA) or country/area distributors (Europe, Middle East).</p><p>The group is strongly sales and marketing orientated and success depends on rapid introduction of innovative new products often produced by reputable partners.</p><p><strong>Description</strong></p><ul><li>He/she will build up, lead and inspire a multifunctional team in order to achieve the overall success of the company in accomplishing its goals as set through planning and implementation programs (Mid Term Plan, Annual Plan, Budget, KPI's, Revisions etc).</li><li>He/ she will play a key role in expanding China sales volume, both through the existing product lines as well as new introductions to be developed;</li><li>He/ she will set up and oversee programs for improvement of the company's production facilities with respect to overall efficiency, capacity adjustments, quality systems etc.</li></ul><p>Apart from commercial goals, we are looking for a leader who is able to establish a strong culture of team based operations and procedures, compliance with goal commitments, achieving shorter project execution times, improving overall company moral etc.</p><p><strong>Profile</strong></p><p>We are looking for a senior leader with <strong>strong marketing background</strong> and not less than 10 years of solid experience in, <strong>Sales and Marketing</strong> <strong>Management</strong> with <strong>reputable FMCG</strong> companies having international operations in China, especially in the area of <strong>New Product Development</strong> and preferably in the Foods area.</p><p>He/she should have considerable exposure to general management with a track record of success in leading a business/ business unit of significant size to achieve positive results.
