REPORTING TO: Senior HR Manager


LOCATION: Guangzhou or Shenzhen


GENERAL SUMMARY:

Through partnering with Regional Director, District Manager and Store GM team and working with Corporate HR team, to understand business & its challenges to provide business-focused advisory and service in full spectrum of HR including but not limited to recruitment, compensation and benefits, training, performance management, talent management and employee relationship so as to support business needs.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Employee Relations & Engagement

    • Partner with RD, DM and Store GM to develop and maintain positive employee relations and engagement level.

    • Monitor Engagement survey and work with RD/DM and GM on making and executing action plan for improvement and to ensure high level of employee engagement.

    • Support and actively participate in all brand employees recognition programs and encourage store leaders to have consistent participation.

    • KPI: No negative labor arbitration cases

  • Performance Management

    • Partner with RD/DM/GMs to develop a performance culture in the district through effective performance management process and incentive programs, including training of the process, coaching on proper goals setting, quarterly check-ins, facilitating performance reviews;

    • Coach managers to be capable of performance planning, monitoring, evaluation with their subordinators. Provide regular coaching and counseling to business managers as needed.

    • KPI: Timely completion of training of PP & A process, goal setting and reviews based on the focal calendar

  • Talent Management

    • Work with RD/DM/GM to identify the talent needs in the stores;

    • Partner with RD/DM/GM to lead and facilitate training for all store leaders on brand interviewing standards, tools and process to ensure that the right candidates are found for all field positions.

    • Partner with RD/DM/GM to lead and facilitate the Talent Review and Succession planning process. Maintain all District Succession Plan tools and keep up to date quarterly.

    • Partner with the RD/DM/GM to identify the training and career development needs of GM’s and other store leaders and potential future leaders, ensure training and development plans are developed for all store leaders according to the brand standards and executed for high potentials and key talents to meet future business needs;

    • Check in, monitor and track the on boarding process and the execution of 30/60/90 days orientation plan with the store leaders to ensure the good employee experience. Provide the employee on boarding feedback to the store leaders for continuous improvement.

    • Conduct NEO for new stores new hire in terms of company culture, brand history, policies, COBC

    • Ensure the employee Turnover rate is within the target through recruitment and retention;

    • KPI: Internal fill rate (v.s. external hiring); retention rate; meeting the productivity target in the store; timely completion of talent review and succession planning process.

  • Culture

    • Help all employees quickly adapt to company culture and their roles by conducting NEO and on-going training in partnership with Corporate Training team.

    • Well-maintained working relationships to ensure harmonious, productive, and inclusive working relationship of employer-employees within the district.

    • Structured communication plan and process is cascaded and implemented to reach all employees for HR related communications.

2. HR Operations
  • Recruitment

    • Evaluate the staffing needs and ensure HC and labor cost are within the budget, in partnership with store GM, and upper field leaders;

    • Maintain the up-to-date job profiles, informing the hiring needs to the Recruitment team;

    • Be the advisor and consultant on selection process to ensure all vacancies being fulfilled with best people in place in time;

    • Train and develop the store team on their interview and selection skills.

    • Highly involve in the new store in new city hiring process, partnering with the RD/DM on the store leadership positions and then the GM on the associate positions.

    • KPI: meet new store on boarding timeline

  • C & B

    • Make offer proposals by following corporate salary guideline to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness;
    • Train and coach store and upper field leaders to ensure company policies and guidelines are properly executed to positively impact the productivity / quality / performance culture in the business;

    • Drive the annual focal process under corporate guideline and ensure completion within timeline and budget;

    • Timely feedback the market and competitor information to C&B team.

    • KPI: store P&B & HC budget

  • HR Processes

    • Train and coach store and upper Field leaders to ensure HR Policies and Procedures are executed:

      • Interviews

      • Exit process/interviews

      • Staff movement process(in-brand and cross brand)

      • HR data base maintenance

      • HC reporting, etc.

  • HR Projects

    • Support ongoing improvement in different HR processes/ project as assigned


ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS:

  • Regional Director, District Managers & Store GMs
  • Corporate HR solution center team in Shanghai
  • Store employees in different levels
  • External vendor and government units in related HR processes


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


1.Knowledge, skills & abilities:

  • Good communication skills and good teamwork;

  • Good analytic skill, attention to detail;

  • High self-initiative and willing to learn and stretch;

  • Demonstrated ability to develop partnership across teams, organizations and various levels of management;

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet assigned timeline, able to work independently

  • Familiar with local Employment Law and related regulations;

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs and web-based internet software and products

  • Good oral & written English and Chinese;

2. Educational level:

  • Bachelor degree

3. Minimum experience:

  • At least 6-8 years in the overall HR generalist role
