SUMMARY
Are you ready to join a new and innovative team focused on sourcing and discovering new vendors, finding hot trends, and building new brands within the U.S. and global markets?
China Direct Ship is a newly launched platform designed to source newness across all segments of our business, to find quality vendors in China that offer unique products at unbeatable prices, and to drive the ability to move on hot new trends and test them well before they hit the U.S. or global market.
As an Account Executive on the China Direct Ship team, you will help build, communicate, and grow zulily's vision of delivering new and fresh products every day! You will be responsible for sourcing and discovering vendors, negotiating and developing strategic vendor partnerships, sourcing compelling product assortments, and delivering great brands and products at an amazing value. Our ideal Account Executive is ambitious in nature, detail oriented, highly organized and adept at time management skills. They are comfortable working cross-functionally and as part of a virtual team with their U.S. counterparts and are passionate about the retail industry!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
? Prospect and identify new vendors, new brands, and new products that represent our customer’s needs
? Negotiate, implement, and manage the onboarding of new vendor
? Work closely with the zulily China Merchandising Team to understand our customers lead generation resources to ensure an appropriate flow of quality vendor leads.
? Work closely with the zulily China Merchandising Team to understand division goals and product initiatives
? Liaise with key zulily cross functional teams to deliver on the team goals; Merchandising, Compliance, Logistics, Vendor Ops, etc.
? Responsible for ensuring products meet established standards for safety and quality in alignment with Sourcing objectives
? Establish vendor strategies, product costing, quality & compliance standards & sizing and production oversight related to product categories
? Participate in conference calls with China vendors and the zulily China Merchandising Team to address product quality, sizing, process or other issues as translation may be necessary to assist with progress in onboarding and ensure event setup success.
? Analyze new vendor performance and align with zulily China Merchandising Team on event planning and growth objectives
? Participate in weekly meetings with zulily China Merchandising Team to report out on vendor identification, current vendor engagement, progress to new vendor launch including timeline, challenges and
? Partner with Merchandising team to address customer feedback issues and quality concerns
? Work closely with vendor in partnership with the Merchandising team to ensure the vendor is ready for their first online zulily event – post event meetings (either via phone or face to face at the vendor facility) may be necessary to address any issues
? Use Pipedrive and other zulily reporting tools to track potential new vendors, create reports, analyze data, act and report out on insights derived from the data.
? Use data to identify and implement opportunities for sales process improvement
QUALIFICATIONS
? Mandarin and English fluency, written and verbal requirement
? 3-5+ years of relevant work experience in retail sales, negotiation, or vendor relationships
? Experience in Vendor and Product Sourcing (not operations or production)
? Proven experience selling and generating new business
? E-Commerce experience a plus
? Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
? Clear and effective written, verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
? Willing to travel throughout China and the ability to travel to the U.S.

? 与新供应商谈判、接洽并管理新供应商引进流程;
? 与国内业务团队紧密合作,了解我们的潜在客户开发流程及资源,从而确保优质供应商的开发流程;
? 与国内业务团队紧密合作,以了解部门目标和产品计划;
? 与各个关键业务部门如业务部门、合规部门、后勤部门、供应商操作管理部门等沟通协作以完成团队目标;
? 负责确保产品符合采购要求的安全和质量标准;
? 建立供应商发展战略,确定产品成本,制定质量与合规标准,监督产品加工及生产;
? 参加与国内供应商及国内业务跟单团队的电话会议,以解决产品质量、加工、流程或其他方面的问题,并吸取会议精神来协助供应商遴选培训及确保活动成功;
? 分析新供应商业绩,与国内业务跟单团队合作活动策划和业务增长计划;
? 参加与国内业务团队的周例会,汇报供应商的开发情况、现有供应商的参与状况、与新供应商的合作进展如时间表、挑战和机会;
? 与业务跟单团队合作以解决客户反馈的问题;
? 与同业务团队有合作关系的供应商紧密合作,以确保供应商为首次上线活动做好准备,包括为解决任何问题可能需召开活动后会议(通过电话或在供应商工厂面对面的方式);
? 使用Pipedrive和其他内部汇报工具来跟进潜在的新供应商、创建报告、分析数据、采取行动及汇报根据数据得出的洞察建议;
? 使用数据来辨别及实施销售流程改进的机会。
任职资格/要求
? 流畅的中英文口语沟通能力及读写能力;
? 3~5年以上零售业、商务谈判或供应商关系管理相关经验;
? 供应商和产品开发的相关经验(非运营或生产);
