职位描述：
Managing internal tooling department, as well as subcontracted. Overseeing to completion and on budget new tool builds, tooling modifications, tooling repairs.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Tooling Engineers
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
? Experience designing press tooling
? Ability to design dies using SolidWorks, and AutoCAD
? Ability to quote pricing and lead times for any type of tooling
? Set strategic direction for tool building
? Tooling project management abilities
? Improve Company Tool
? Interface directly with customer to discuss design, explain concepts, review drawing dimensions/tolerances, propose value engineering ideas, etc.
? Lead internal die design strategy meetings with other key management members
? Knowledge of wire EDM and CNC machining is a plus
? Daily communication internally / customer
? Proficiency with Excel, Project, Word and Power Point needed
OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Plan, organize, implement and supervise the efforts and necessary procedures to perform the above listed activities.
? Recommend promotions, demotions, and dismissal of personnel.
? Recommend wage scale or increases.
? Supervise, train, and direct both old and new employees in the department.
? Determine the need and costs of new equipment and help make the final decision for their purchase.
QUALIFICATIONS
? University degree / or equivalent knowledge
? Minimum 10 years of direct work experience with tooling management
? Must possess excellent communication skills for liaising and communicating with vendors, customers, and internal departments.

? Able to interface directly with cross-functional teams
? Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
