Background:
The company is looking to grow its engineering team to develop a new product category. We require engineers who are capable of ensuring the highest quality of product through deep understanding of design and manufacturing processes.
Essential:
- 10+ years of product development from concept to production
- Excellent problem solving skills
- 3years+ experience with Creo 3.0
- Good spoken and written English communication skills
- 5+ years’ experience in design for plastic manufacture for mass production
- 5+ years’ experience in design for sheet metal forming, punching, die casting and deep drawing
- Mechanical or Design Engineering degree educated
- Accustomed to quick turnaround projects (<1year)
- Experience with Outlook, excel, powerpoint

- Development of products for the US market
- Consumer products experience
- Hands-on workshop/prototyping/testing experience
- Value engineering experience
- Failure Modes and effect analysis
- Able to travel regularly to the Shunde/Foshan area
- Experience with design and production of glass products
- Experience in at least two of the following product types;
？ Pressure cookers
？ Toaster ovens
？ BBQ/outdoor grills
？ Slow cookers
？ Rice cookers
Job Function
To support/lead concept development to Mass Production of new Heated Products for the US and international marketplace
- Problem solving/brainstorming
- CAD updates – 2D & 3D
- Design Reviews
- Prototypes build and test
- Performance testing
- Communication to US/UK teams on project technical development and issues
- Reviewing costed bill of materials/tooling plans
- Support factories on site as required
