Roles and Responsibilities
? To schedule, coordinate and conduct assigned labor compliance audits /C-TPAT audits/any special form of audits (including any surveillance visits and off-site worker interviews falling outside normal working hours or working days as circumstances dictated) on time, and in accordance with Sears Holdings Management Corporation Code of Vendor Conduct and its supplemental guidelines, local applicable laws and regulations, and also any applicable industry workplace standard and regulations, and to write and submit audit reports as per management requirement and expectation, and
? To send audit notification to vendors and factories and follow up any of their responses on audit notification on time and according to prevailing auditor procedures, and
? To arrange and perform audits per a week according to most latest Sears Holdings auditors procedures, practices and expectation, and
? To verify on-site payroll records, time attendance records and all other relevant factory certificates and records of factories to ensure compliance with legal requirements and Sears Holdings specific requirements, and
? To perform a health and safety inspection of factory and any applicable dormitory facilities for assessment and revealing of safety or health related risks, and if applicable, also security measures implemented by factory associated with prevailing C-TPAT requirements.
? To interview factory management on factory work rules, workplace practices, management systems and overall compliance with applicable local laws and Sears Holdings specific requirements, and
? To interview factory employees on identifying issues ranging from working hours, compensation, hiring practices, health and safety condition, and overall treatment by management, and
? In consultation with Compliance Supervisor/Compliance Manager and/or other relevant departmental management staff, honestly identify and report any compliance issues found in an audit, and make relevant recommendations and provide all information and analysis to Compliance Supervisor/Compliance Manager to assist managerial judgment on an appropriate audit rating of each audited factory, and
? Whereas appropriate and in the best company interest of Sears Holdings, deliver professional advice, training, meeting, seminar, workshop to partner vendors and factories to support them to better comply with Sears Holdings compliance requirements, but such delivered advice, training, all these activities in details should be timely reported to Compliance Supervisor/Compliance Manager.
? Private consultation/training/audit services in whatsoever forms to vendors and factories are strictly prohibited by Sears Holdings, and acceptance or request on bribe (in whatsoever form) from vendors and factories is also strictly prohibited. Any bribery attempt or private consultancy request by vendors and factories must be immediately reported to Compliance Supervisor/Compliance Manager or higher management staff, and
? To submit audit reports/meeting reports and all associated audit documents on time according to latest auditors procedures, practice and expectation.
? To assist to research applicable legal requirements (including legal minimum wage standards) to ensure that the compliance department is up to date on labor and employment laws, and provide to/share with Compliance Supervisor/Compliance Manager on time any news or rumors from market which may put company’s public reputation and image into jeopardy, and
? Serious issues revealed during audits such as threat to auditor’s personal safety, bribery, harassment, forced labor, physical abuse, psychological abuse, discrimination, access denied, and any other severe fatal health and safety issues must be immediately reported to the office, or as soonest as practical within 24 hours of the audit, and

? To submit travel/hotel expenses reports on time to Compliance Supervisor/Compliance Manager for approval of company reimbursement according to latest company requirements and practice, and
? To assist to conduct 3rd party auditor training, and to observe and report field performance of 3rd party auditors as assigned by superior, and
? To attend training, seminars, workshops, projects or activities as assigned by superior, and
? To respond and reply company emails on time, and
? To always dress and behave professionally and business appropriate in office and in workplaces/function venues of vendors and factories, and
? To accept and perform other ad hoc business duties and responsibilities as required/assigned by Compliance Supervisor or Compliance Manager.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements
? A recognized university degree or equivalent level
? At least 2-3 years practical experience in conducting labor compliance audits at factories
? Basic knowledge of local labor laws and regulations
? Ability to communicate, both written and oral, in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
? Willing to travel and work in different cities and provinces throughout entire China, and occasional travel to other countries may also be required as dictated by business need
? Must be organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
? Strong interpersonal skills (particularly the ability to interview workers and factory managers soliciting potentially sensitive information) are essential
? Previous experience working for a US-based retail or manufacturing company preferred
