Job Description：

The Thermal Solutions Manufacturing and Sourcing Engineer is a key member of Company Manufacturing Team in China and is responsible for passive thermal management products from the Asia Supply Chain.

The individual in this position will coordinate with co-workers at Headquarters in the USA to design and launch new heatsink products into the Supply Chain in China and will assure efficient, cost effective production of products during mass production.

General Responsibilities

Research and contribute to the design of new technologies for producing heatsinks and passive cooling components that will be integrated with Company thermal cooling solutions.

Coordinate the evaluation and selection of new heatsink Suppliers based on their ability to meet Company’s technology, quality, service, and cost requirements.

Launch new heatsink products into production

Facilitate design for manfacturability (DFM) between heatsink manufacturers and Company’s engineering teams.

Direct the development, implementation, and qualification of equipment, tooling and manufacturing processes.

Cooperate with Company Supply Chain Organization to manage Suppliers’ Performance

Assure that new products are ramped to volume production based on Company’s Integrated Product Development Process (IPDP)

Lead the effort to negotiate and optimize cost for heatsink products

Monitor ongoing production trends utilizing statistical process control (SPC) and Suppliers’ inspection data; initiate and manage efforts to correct problems as necessary

Participate in Quarterly Business Reviews assuring continuous improvement for the Supply Chain

Qualifications

B.S degree, in Mechanical Engineering

4+ years experience working in high volume manufacturing

Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes, cost factors, and sources of supply for heatsinks utilized in cooling electronic products. Specifically, extrusion, die casting, machining, swaging, anodizing, and painting processes.

Good understanding of thermal engineering principals and associated materials, components, and techniques used in thermal cooling solutions.

Strong communication and analytical skills, proficient in the use of computer based tools including SolidWorks, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint

Proficient in Mandarin Chinese and English both written and verbal
