MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
? Leadership (where applicable)
– Assist in the establishment of operational plans ensuring the client receives exceptional delivery
– Understand the client’s key business drivers, focus the team to ensure those priorities are aligned with our deliverables
– Sustain and manage a high-quality well motivated team ensuring high performance standards
– Hire, attract and retain a team of top talented employees; Actively manage the professional development of all direct reports; improve team performance through regular coaching and feedback; provide recognition
– Lead by example and groom the team in achieving maximum client satisfaction level
– Serves as deputy to the Branch FM Operations Manager in his/her absence
? Client/Stakeholder Management
– Manage relationships with key stakeholder representatives in the Client’s organization to ensure that expected service levels are achieved
– Assist the Branch FM Operations Manager to serve as single point of contact for Jones Lang LaSalle’s engineering service delivery and escalation point at branches.
– Responsible for the service delivery to meet contractual obligations of Jones Lang LaSalle
– Participate in developing and implementing an business/operational plan which meets the Client’s outsourcing and Jones Lang LaSalle’s objectives for the account
– Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of the Client’s business and key factors influencing their requirement for our services
? Procurement & Vendor Management
– Assist to deliver high quality work practices in line with the manufacturer recommendations, implement the established processes, tools and documentation
– Manage contract vendors for all engineering services across assigned portfolio
– Management of all engineering services contractors to ensure they perform to the required standards
? Finance Management
– Assist with the development of the facility budgets and forecasts in accordance with the financial timetable
– Assist the Branch FM Operations Manager for achievement of the agreed financial targets for the account and keeping within the GMP price for the portfolio
– Assist in financial processes to ensure that all financial management requirements are completed in a timely and accurate manner
? Health & Safety Management
– Conduct regular audits to ensure safety procedures on site are in place and working to established policies and standard operating procedures for the management of the client’s working environment
– Ensure compliance with statutory regulations on fire, health and safety standards
– Protect the health and safety of staff and others by adhering to and developing guidelines and strategies
– Assist in carrying out safety procedures when needed
? Risk Management
– Assist in the implementation and management of property risk management program
– Support the implementation and monitoring of disaster recovery and business continuity plans
– Follow established escalation procedures and incident reporting procedures
– Adhere to Jones Lang LaSalle’s business conduct by ensuring compliance with the firm’s guidelines, procedures and strategies
– Ensure compliance with audit programs
– Ensure proper documentation and adherence to the established change management controls
– Ensure alignment and compliance to established Policies and Standard Operating Procedures for the management of the client’s Critical Environment (CEM)
– Ensure proper engineering documentation and adherence to the established change management controls for all sites
? Operations Management
– Drive implementation of Industry Best Practice operations; Co-responsible to source, transfer and implement best practices to the account
– Co-responsible for the management of service delivery against agreed performance standards. Take responsibility for smooth operations of all Mechanical, Electrical, UPS and Plumbing installations and Civil works pertaining to the facility
– Assist in the implementation and management of global / regional / national initiatives and programs
– Assist to drive client specific initiatives such as savings targets, benchmarking and best practices
– Develop and implement policies and standard operating procedures for the management of the assigned portfolio
– Assist in driving global / regional / national consistency in the account e.g. in reporting, standard operating procedures, systems and HR practices
– Continuous optimization of processes, tools and documentation
– Develop and implement innovation programs and processes that reduce utility costs, increase productivity and savings and share learnings with the wider community at Jones Lang LaSalle
– Establish consistency in the monthly reporting processes
– Prepare in-country or functional reporting to the satisfaction of the Client
? Achieve Key Performance Indicators and Service Level Agreement targets


CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION: KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Ideal Experience
? Minimum 5 years’ experience in Facilities Operations Management at a management level, preferably with 3 years technical experience at a management level in building engineering or equivalent
? Tertiary qualifications in Facilities Management / Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical) will be advantageous
? Has experience in handling client and/or Firm sensitivities’ knowing when to escalate with urgency, or how to de-escalate certain risks
