TITLE: Technical Product Developer

 

REPORTS TO:

DESCRIPTION OF ROLE:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leads new development projects from conception to implementation.
Leading development project communication and take regular development meetings with design team in UK and Suppliers

Organize and coordinate new project development plan with internal team and external vendor and ensure on time implementation according to agreed critical path.
Identify and recommend manufacturing efficiencies improvement opportunities for cost savings
Builds relationships with all the operational teams, work closely with other departments such as Project, Production and Quality to ensure smooth workflow.
Provide advice, consultation, and training to the team members based on industry best practices to advance in their job levels towards expertise
Works primarily with internal manufacture departments and external vendors on the resolution of engineering issues. Some contacts may occur with marketing or finance, but the content is technical in nature
Make sure product developed with right construction and strength, balancing “value engineering” with regards to DeepGreen.
Ensure the proper product construction, avoid the potential risk.
Ability & Interest to research material and process to improve competitiveness
Ensure products are constructed conscious usage and production risk and efficiency.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENT

Familiar with the structure of the upholstery (furniture like sofa) and solid wood furniture, technological process, familiar with the characters of various materials and conventional standards of furniture.
Integrity, high work enthusiasm, strong learning ability, careful.
Strong project management skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills with both internal and external
More than 5 years of experience in furniture development or inspection process.
Good English skill to communicate and writing.
With sense of community, can obey company arrangement; be able to travel a lot.
Good at on Solidworks, Illustrator, and CAD skill.
Rich experience in glass, metal.
Know development process well.
