Position purpose

The Sr. Product Engineer focus on the product purchase part and outsourcing part approval, PPAP report verify and II making, supplier management and PPAP training work.

Work with PIE on production line quality root case analysis and implementation of short and long term corrective action in operation.

Responsibility

1. Handle the product purchase part and outsourcing part approval.

2. PPAP report & sample verify and approval.

3. PPAP report & II making and release.

4. Supplier management and new supplier qualify.

5. PPAP training to supplier.

6. Work with supplier on technology improvement.

7. Work with supplier and SQE on quality improvement.

8. Solve product related problems and perform failure analysis related to product issues.

9. Work with PIE on production line quality root case analysis and implementation of short and long

10. Term corrective action in operation.

11. Set up and define standard work instruction in department.

12. Other related tasks assigned by the superiors and respective functions.

13. Work with Lab on product part spec verification.

14. Work with supplier on product test per customer requirement.

15. Solve with SQE and IQC on incoming material quantity issue.

16. Guide, motivate and develop teammates to maintain a high degree of efficiency which will lead to a successful product launch.

17. Drive continuous improvement programs.

Requirements

1. Bachelors Degree or above, major in Mechanical Engineering or related equivalent. Experience of at least 5 years in mechanical design/product approval with exposure on manufacturing processes for plastics, metals, joining and related processes.

2. Proficiency on production part approval process.

3. Ability to manage supplier on technology and quantity improvement.

4. Proficiency on design of mechanical part.

5. Excellent and effective drawing review skill.

6. Excellent and effective quality analysis skill.

7. Proficiency on production part reliability test.

8. Excellent and effective English skill (at least CET4).

9. Excellent and effective communication skills both verbal and written.

10. Excellent interpersonal skills with all levels and departments/units.

11. Critical thinking and good analytical skill.

12. Sound knowledge and understanding of Failure Mode Effects & Analysis (FMEA)

13. Skill and sound knowledge on metrology and using all type of measuring equipments
