Major responsibilities:
1. Fabric Sourcing and Development
-Analyze trends and market conditions for the present and the future regarding quality, pricing, availability, leadtime, and ability to produce goods and provide services
-Proactively support IIC/3rd customer in fabric development, executing their product vision on fabric, to place the right fabric in the appropriate mill to achieve the best quality/price ratio
-Generally evaluate existing and new fabric suppliers, on-going coach suppliers regarding IIC standards and requirements
-Continuously check suppliers'working procedures and implement improvement in their factories
-Assure information sharing, proper cross-communication and coordination between the Sourcing department, PM, the merchandising team and QA/QC on all relevant fabric development, capacity planning and sourcing issues
-Work with CR team in monitoring RSL (Reach) control
-Set up and manage a complete, user-friendly, and consistently updated fabric databank, library and system
2. Administration and organization
-Consistently review and improve working tools and procedure of responsible area
-Monitor and guide Fabric sourcing assistant
3. Other tasks assigned by superior
Requirement:
1. Major in Textile Engineering or with textile education background
2. At least 3 years working experience with similar position in garment/textile industry
3. Strong knowledge in fabrication
4. Know-how of sport/technical textile product and production
5. Strong data analysis and process mapping skills
6. Solid presentation and communication skills in both written and spoken English and Mandarin
7. Team player and Positive attitude
8. Facility in development of proposals and reports
9. Able to travel extensively
