Business Area Description
The AP BMS Administration/L1 team are within the GMU BT/IT Run Organisation and functionally report into the Global Run Portfolio Services Team.
Business Management System (BMS) is a suite of applications deployed world-wide across the IBM Services business and consists of a uniform Business and Financial Model and a set of business support tools which complement country processes and procedures. BMS applications track and control contract and business unit performance. Applications include ILC, CLAIM, PACT, SCMgr, ICLA, SSC, CFT/S BDW, BMS IW.
The AP BMS Administration/L1 team are responsible for the provision and management of core data and L1 support for end users of the WW BMS Tool Suite. BMS will not be replaced with Blue Harmony in AP (excluding GCG) until Q3 2015.
Key Purpose of Role
As a member of a team provide Administration/ L1 support to the ASEAN business for the finance related areas of BMS. Opportunity exists to support other regions within AP.
Job Description
The following generic responsibilities are required as applicable to the processes supported:
Develop familiarity with the BMS model and related processes, applications and interfaces
Create and maintain data in applications according to documented procedures, or under the direction of an Administration Team Lead/SME
Adhere to defined service levels
Maintain compliance to required business controls including audits, Application Control Books, ASCA, records retention and disaster recovery
Monitor system interfaces and highlight issues to technical support or Administration Team Lead/SME
Perform reconciliations according to documented procedures. Correct errors, exceptions, re-cycles, maintain data integrity
Perform routine problem resolution and error handling.
Provide Level 1 support for problem analysis and resolution to team members and end users
Raise application errors as required and track to completion
Provide support for problem analysis and resolution to team members and end users
Create and maintain process documentation and work instructions
Provide training or education materials to BMS team and end users as required
Participate in projects as assigned e.g. new company deployments
Required Skills:
Technical Skills
Well developed QMF query writing skills
Exposure to Mainframe applications e.g. VM, TSO
Intermediate spreadsheet skills
Process documentation skills
Familiarity with financial practices
Non Technical Skills
Ability to work with offshore team and customers
Advanced data / process problem solving skills
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written English
Process oriented, and attention to detail
Good organisational skills, the ability to work remotely, and the ability to work to project schedules
Good teaming and interpersonal skills (management, peers and team)
Proven documentation skills including writing User Guides
Familiarity with the role of the BMS Application Tool Suite within the Services Business would be an advantage
Required
Bachelor's Degree
At least 2 years experience in support
