Purpose of the job:

Enforce the implementation of the organization’s quality standards and protocols in the supplier base, with particular focus on first-time suppliers or orders from first-time customers. The QA Engineer documents all technical information received from customer’s requirements onto the organisation’s technical documents, so that factories have all the relevant information they need to manufacture the right product. This role also acts as the interface between the organization and the factories to get mutual agreement on product specifications and tolerances for mass production.

Experience:

- At least 2 years of technical/quality experience in home furniture
- Possess knowledge in home furniture construction, design and stability
- Familiar with EN test standards for home furniture products
- Have good experience in factory and process audit
- Good knowledge in product failure analysis

Key Responsibilities:

? Partner with the Business Developer to audit new factories, qualify and recommend new suppliers from a technical and quality perspective.
? Evaluate infrastructure and capability of new suppliers against customers’ and organization’s requirements to ensure they are able to meet requirements with regard to compliance and standards.
? Conduct inline inspection of the process and ensure that organization’s guidelines and protocols are being followed.
? Check samples of new products against design and ensure they are manufactured in line with material quality, construction, workmanship and finish; and approve samples for new products.
? Send selected sample to the customer for approval.
? Prepare technical specifications, packaging instructions, labeling instructions, detailed quality requirements and loading instructions and send to Quality Supervisor for approval.
? Send technical specifications and all other required documentation for approved samples to supplier.
? Check the pre-production sample against the agreed technical and quality specifications.
? Conduct final inspection for new products along with QC.
? Prepare and follow up on action plans for any failures, product returns or claims.
? Run simple tests on the product before sending to testing labs to ensure due diligence.
? Set the standards for defect classifications being used in AQL based quality inspections.
? Carry out full product review on all articles annually to ensure they are always within specification according to the technical documents. 举报 分享
