Job description
Analytic Solutions group of IBM SWG Business Analytics division is focused on building analytic solutions using ground breaking technology that integrates all of the components in the Business Analytic system. We are looking for individuals who are committed to a collaborative approach to solution development and open to thinking creatively about the challenges and opportunities of a dynamic development team.
The post is for a Business Analytic Solution Developer working principally in building solutions to help our customers to address business analytic requirements quickly and effectively with a solid background in BI and Performance Management. As a member of the solution development team, the candidate should have a demonstrable understanding of solution development, design and optimization techniques/principles with a variety of practical experience.
The BA Solution team is focused on creating solution assets for global markets, defining common process and architecture. An analytical mind, creative thinking and an ability to support other members of the team are essential attributes in the successful candidate.
Experience of Agile development methodologies and practices such as SCRUM are highly desirable, demonstrated ability of translating customer requirements into software solutions is a plus.
Working as part of the BA Solution development team in China and in collaboration with colleagues from other locations as required, you will be involved in the following duties and responsibilities.
Design, develop, implement and test high quality business analytic solutions using IBM Business Analytic products and technologies.
Develop skills in appropriate tools and techniques which will lead to improvements in the quality and performance both of the solutions and of the team
Actively find solutions to assigned problems and tasks
Any other reasonable task as may be requested from time to time
Required Skills
Cognos, SPSS
Java/JavaScript and Wed 2.0 development
Good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
Desirable Skills
Familiar with solution development
Business Intelligence applications
Agile development methodologies/practices (SCRUM, TDD)
