Job Output:
· This position is responsible for the overall project management and ongoing plant management for the construction and operation of a Resilient Sheet Flooring plant, Jiangsu province.
Key Process (Ownership/Participation):
· Under the general guidance of the General Manager, Resilient Manufacturing, Floor Products, this position is accountable of the effective management and profitable operation of the AFP Resilient Sheet Plant, Jiangsu by focusing on the general plant objectives of safety, quality, downtime, service and cost reduction.
· Responsible for coordination of staff support personnel directed at safety and environment audit, process improvement, cost reduction, organization development and customer satisfaction.
· Oversees the coherent execution of plant wide activities and judicious allocation of human, financial and material resources to support Company strategic plans/goals and plant operational objectives. Fosters a work environment and management philosophy conducive to the adherence of all employees to the Company's values and behaviors. Sustains the commitment of all plant employees to Company's customers by ensuring timely delivery of plant production answering to the highest levels of quality at all times.
? Determines need for, and recommends on, size and structure of salaried organization; selects and assures adequate training of key personnel; stimulates their development for maximum effectiveness and orientation into the plant management team.
? Approves production Organization size and structure.
? Promotes and maintains good employee relations.
? Formulates operating objectives and stimulates all personnel to participate in the process.
? Provides consistent leadership for the implementation of the Quality Management Process.
? Stays abreast of new technology in the production of resilient sheet flooring.
? Provides personal direction in the resolution of current operating problems of a critical nature.
? Maintains good working relationships with local government bodies and with the local community.
? Participates to the formulation of plant objectives and policies with General Manager
? Monitors overall plant performance in reaching established goals/objectives and decides of appropriate corrective actions in conjunction with managers when necessary.
? Coordinates inter-department relations and arbitrates changes in resources allocation to ensure overall efficiency and coherence of plant operations.
? Sets clear duties, responsibilities, objectives and requirements for management team members, provides feedback when needed and evaluates their performance.
? Encourages the professional development of management team members by coaching their efforts at improving/acquiring greater proficiency, skills and abilities.
? Participates to the formulation of plant remuneration policy.
? Provides expert opinion/exchanges information as a member of teams/groups/task forces within Company.

Practical Experience
· Prior management and/or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
· Strong leadership, communication and interaction skills.
· Demonstrated business leadership, project management and technical abilities.
· Demonstrated experiences in developing employees into a high performance project team.
· Self-driven, goal-oriented, strong interpersonal skills.
· Demonstrated capability in the prioritizing and managing of multiple activities.
· Results oriented professional with strong integration skills who can work across organizational lines and who can achieve business objectives through personal initiative and energy.
· Strong knowledge of process improvement tools/techniques.
· Outstanding communication skills at all levels of the organization and across all functional units. Able to impart knowledge of the process in a positive, value added manner. Diplomatic, thoughtful and possessing the skills to move the organization beyond current paradigm
Qualifications Required
· Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is a plus
· 5 years experience in managing large capital projects
· 5 years experience in managing a manufacturing operation
· Excellent communication and team skills (verbal, written and presentation).
· Bi-lingual - English
