DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Job Description
Flex is hiring commodity managers for a new business that focuses on
construction and building materials. Commodity managers are responsible
for developing and implementing the overall distribution and broker
strategy for specific materials. The new commodity managers need to
develop strong relationships across suppliers in their assigned
categories to support a new and growing business. We are seeking
flexible and innovative sourcing professionals that can operate in a
"start up" mode within one of the largest Sketch-to-Scale solutions
providers in the world. This position reports to the Sourcing/Commodity
Management Lead for Nanshan, Asia.
Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree from a recognized
institution with at least 3 years of material management experience. A
master's degree is preferred. Prior building materials, construction or
related experience is ideal.
Principle Accountabilities include:
1. Support the design and execution of the overall distribution
strategy for assigned commodities/categories
2. Drive creation and management of a Preferred Supplier List that
enables Flex to meet cost and performance goals
3. Develop and implement a procurement plan in collaboration with other
commodity management team members
4. Measure and report results based on commodity plans and metrics
