Our client is a Fortune 500, they are looking for high-caliber persons to fill the position.
Responsibilities:-
- Administer various human resources plans and procedures for assigned employees; assist in development and implementation of employment policies and procedures.
- Participate in the development and establishment of department goals, objectives and systems that directly impact HR strategy and overall business plans for the assigned facility.
- Partner directly and effectively with the Human Resources Manager, other members of the facility Leadership Team, and members of other cross-functional teams to drive appropriate HR initiatives in a timely and professional manner.
- Communicate in a timely and professional manner with all employees consistently demonstrating empathy, compassion and a supportive attitude to resolve employer/employee relations' issues and concerns.
- Provide assistance to the Human Resources Manager in the design, implementation and maintenance of training and employee development programs and related support activities. Conduct training sessions for all employees as necessary regarding new programs, policies and procedures. Maintain up-to-date training records for all employees.
- Prepare performance management tracking and salary administration reports for management. Notify managers/supervisors in a timely manner when performance reviews for direct reports are due. Provide follow-up performance management tracking and salary administration reports for senior management as necessary.
- Maintain HRIS System for the assigned facilities to include new hires information and maintenance of employment records for existing employees.
- Provide monthly HRIS reports consisting of head count, personnel actions, turnover rates, injury rates, etc.
- Maintains the OSHA 300 Log. In cooperation with the Facility Manager, promotes best practices in creating and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Act as a business partner for line managers and supervisors providing counseling and support as necessary in dealing with employer/employee relations' issues and interpretation/application of employment policies and procedures.
- Coordinate the establishment and maintenance of employment files for new employees and terminated employees.
- Write and coordinate the placement of recruitment/selection advertising for newspaper as well as Internet and Company Intranet applications.
- Coordinate and conduct exit interviews and provide outplacement-counseling support in accordance with Company policy.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of the Company's affirmative action program; filing of annual EEO-1 report, maintenance of other records, reports and logs to ensure conformance and compliance with State and Federal EEOC and Affirmative Action employee record keeping and reporting requirements.
- Participate in recruitment and selection activities for the assigned facilities. Coordinate recruiting efforts for all exempt and non-exempt employees.
- Coordinate the Company's internal job posting program. Ensure that line managers comply with stated Company policy regarding internal recruiting efforts.
- Conduct pre-employment interviews for all non-exempt employees. Coordinate the interview process for exempt level employees with the appropriate hiring manager/supervisor.
- Prepare and distribute employment offer letters for non-exempt and exempt employees.
- Maintain internal job posting records and external recruiting records for all positions to ensure compliance with EEOC recruitment and selection records retention requirements.
- Conduct employee orientations for all new employees. Coordinate appropriate new employee orientation meetings with the hiring manager/supervisor.
- Prepares updates and maintains the employee Communications Monitors located throughout the facility.
- Ensure that all pre-employment testing is completed and confirmed such as background investigations, drug screens, pre-employment physicals, etc. prior to hiring new employees.
- Serve as a member of the Employee Awards and Recognition Team.
- Assist with writing and maintaining current job descriptions for all positions.
- Participate in and complete salary surveys as necessary to support the Company's compensation administration program.
- Lead charitable and community relations initiatives.
- Participate in periodic HR staff meetings and other meetings as necessary to support the Company's business activities.
- Participate in a variety of HR educational programs and seminars to remain current with HR best practices programs and services.
- Perform a variety of miscellaneous tasks as may be required from time-to-time by management representatives.
Requirements:-
- To perform this job successfully, the incumbent must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor's degree (B.A. /B.S.) from accredited four-year college or university with an emphasis in Industrial Relations is preferred; and three to five years related experience and/or training in human resources management; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. The position does require significant knowledge of human resources management practices and services and excellent knowledge of state and federal employment law. The incumbent must have demonstrated proficiency and expertise in interpersonal communications and the use of personal computers to specifically include expertise with all Microsoft Office software products. The incumbent must also possess excellent time management, organizational and verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals and ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- The position requires the ability to work with mathematical concepts to specifically include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division and demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office Excel spreadsheet application software.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, ability to interpret an extensive variety of verbal and written instructions and the ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Professional Human Resources (PHR) certificate preferred.
