JOB SUMMARY
The Equipment Operations Analyst is responsible for deploying, maintaining and tracking equipment for AppleCare contact centers in Asia-Pacific. The role encompasses large scale equipment management through to direct end user desktop support.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Strong technical skills and experience supporting Apple products
Ability to build effective relationships in a self-developed support network
Organised and detail-oriented, able to keep accurate and up to date documentation
Able to adapt to rapidly changing work environment while prioritising key daily & weekly tasks Strong work ethics, perseverance and flexibility
Capacity to thrive in an ambiguous environment
Contribute and when necessary lead complex, multi-phase projects
Experience in Logistics, Customs clearance and Trade compliance is a plus
Fluent oral and written Mandarin and English communication to support the region.
DESCRIPTION
The Equipment Analyst supports both iOS and Mac hardware for contact centre teams across the Asia- Pacific region, both local and remote. They ensure requisite equipment is procured and delivered on time and in parallel for new employees and partner sites. They also triage and resolve hardware issues with Apple-owned desktop units. For achieving desired outcomes the Equipment Analyst engages many departments within Apple.
The ideal candidate should be passionate about process improvement, designing and implementing workflow and use problem-solving and people skills to provide swift resolutions to technical problems.
An ideal candidate would be one who is self-motivated and results-driven to lead projects from conception to finish and manages a constant stream of tasks initiated through phone & email queues, face to face interaction and ongoing longer term projects.
Responsibilities for this role include:
- Managing a wide variety of customer related queries for internal customers. Support end users with their use of applications and hardware based on Global standards, procedures and business policies.
- Subject matter expert in regional logistic and formal customs clearance policies, import and export limitations and courier escalation paths.
- Responsible for equipment deployment cycles, site expansion requests, equipment transfers and repairs along with inventory and tracking databases in accordance with compliance.
- Under limited direction, perform cost and issue root cause analysis to various equipment related programs - Contribute to projects for tool and/or process optimisation.
- Maintain a level of constant and effective communication with managers, leaders, and subject matter experts in a variety of business, functional and technology areas.
- Identify, develop and support new operational processes required to drive and scale product launch as JAPAC AppleCare grows.
- Other activities as required by the team.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
