Responsibilities:

- Contributes to the sourcing strategy in collaboration with the category manager.

- To guarantee the availability of Capital Equipment products and optimize the cost (price and associated costs) in order to obtain a competitive advantage.

- Control and manage purchasing in perimeter (China purchasing geographical and product range).

- Participate to define and implement efficient purchasing strategies for China purchasing coherent with those defines at plant, country, Asia and Group levels.

- Undertake market studies and market development estimations, identify and analyses potential Michelin suppliers, negotiate contracts and ensure their implementations at all levels (sites, country), implement

- Supplier Quality Assurance program (SQA) and follow up recommended indicators.

Requirements:

- Bachelor degree or above majoring in mechanical or electrical design

- At least 5 years working experience, at operational levels in large organization preferably, in purchasing or trading with very strong engineering background, better now doing engineering, mechanical design or investment project management or equipment purchasing job

- Preferably with working experience in the manufacturing factories

- Previous exposure to an international environment is preferable

- Outspoken and ready to face strong pressure and ambitious challenges

- Good inter-personal skill, to be able to communicate and deal with top management internally and externally

- Business sense and able to develop global operations, readiness for difficult negotiations internally and externally

- Analytical skills and business acumen needed to be able to carry out market studies, evaluate suppliers and to foresee the development of the services sector

- Fluent in both oral and written English
