Key Result:
As a key contributor to our Watches Division you will manage the projects which are requested and directed by Victorinox Watch Headquarters in Delemont, Switzerland. The projects may include: product development, sample requests, RFPs, sourcing, and assistance with supplier and quality management. The focus for your work will be the Mainland China region and the Wenger Watch brand.
You will report directly to the Head of Sourcing, Asia and you will be based at our offices in Dongguan, China.

Major scope of duties:
? Product Development Liaison
o Work with product development group in Delemont to send technical drawings to suppliers.
o Assist suppliers with drawings
o Ensure that suppliers emit the proper outputs of samples and pricing
o Quotation of new components, which includes unit price with different MOQ, tooling charge, sample and production lead time, and additional charges.
? Sample making
o Discuss and suggest construction with engineer and suppliers.
o Arrange drawings with engineer and suppliers, engineer submit drawings to Swiss for approval.
o Suggest and discuss design requirements with Swiss Technical Team.
o Provide alternative samples or solution (color, material, construction, cost, etc…).
o Monitor sample making process with suppliers.
o Communicate sample status and costs to Delemont team.
o On-site sample review, pre-shipment.
o Sample forwarding to Delemont office.
? Sourcing
o Sourcing new suppliers or components as specifically directed by Technical Team in Delemont
o Collect technology, market, trend, price information, and new regulations about watch industry.
? Local Supplier Management
o Maintain a good and professional relationship with the Wenger supply chain partners.
？ Act as ambassador between Vx management and the supplier as needed.
o Ensure that suppliers have a clear expectation to our business policies.
o Partner with SCM team to ensure that KPIs are measured and communicated internally and externally.
o Monitor supplier status: business, solvency, capacity, man power, capability, and facilities.
? Provide Quality Management Support
o Work with supplier to prepare range card for new components
？ Range card provided to Swiss Technical Team for approval
？ Final range card to be provided to China Quality Team.
o Blue Box samples provided from supplier to Swiss Technical Team for approval
？ Maintain samples in Dongguan for China Quality Management.
o Ensure that suppliers understand the Wenger quality standard as issued by Swiss Quality Management.
？ Communicate with Quality Team regarding any quality standard issues.
o Secure/acquire gauges and inspection tools for new components for inspection use.
o As product expert, liaise with China Quality Team and Swiss Quality Team to assist and troubleshoot any in-line quality issues.
? Technical and production support for new components
o Liaise with Swiss Technical Team, Quality Management, and Suppliers regarding technical issues to achieve acceptable solutions to ensure minimal issues during the production process.
o Provide on-going technical and production support (drawings, approval samples, testing support).
? Local Assistance for Delemont Team
o Set up accommodation, transportation, and meetings as needed to ensure productive China visits by the team from Switzerland.
? Additional projects and duties as dictated by Head of Sourcing and the Technical Team.


Requirements:
? BA/BS in Business, Engineering, or related field.
? 5+ years’technical experience in a design or manufacturing environment. Watch industry experience is highly preferred.
? Excellent oral and written English communication skills to be conducive with communicating in a global corporate environment.
? Position will be located at our DongGuan office.
? Auto CAD and CorelDraw skills, and good understanding of watch and watch components tech drawing, material, and construction.
? Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point), ERP, and Adobe Illustrator.
? Excellent project management and facilitation skills.
? Frequent travel as business required
? Ability to work with relative autonomy.
? Demonstrated technical competence in international supply chain and business management.
? Experience working with cross-functional teams to effectively execute projects.
? Able to drive change and continuous improvement.
? Strong technical knowledge in related products, processes, or commodities … direct industry experience is a plus.
? Team player.
