Position Summary
In close collaboration with factories, the Technical Designer, the Baby Care Sourcing Manager and the Technical Team, the QA Technician will perform technical evaluation activities, product development support, project commercialization and coordinate with the inspection team.

What the Technical Designer will do:
? Provide technical support during product development process to resolve issues at early stages
? Support the Technical Designer, the Merchandiser and Quality Assurance counterparts in IBO on technical issues and provide recommendations
? Review and modify specification sheets and product development packages with the Technical Desginer for correct materials and components
? Work with vendors, factories in resolving technical problems for development and production
? Evaluate and determine quality (and fit) in comparison to specification packages
? Measure, check construction and workmanship and screen out unacceptable sample.
? Provide comments and guidance to production sources for corrections
? Audit size specifications and check grading, patterns, lasts, cutting dies, fitting.
? Coordinate with inspection team to monitor production and quality control.
? Issue reports to production sources and IBO.
? Train and assess vendors’ technician in VAP program and certification.
? Attend weekly conference calls with the Baby Care Team to review production status and developments

What we are looking for:
The candidate will have significant experience in Baby Care products especially in Hardline products mastering production processes, materials & constructions. The candidate will have met success in leading problem solving with factories and efficiently communicating to the stakeholders. Sensibility to customer experience of products is key to making sure the product fits the requirements. Strong experience in the factory environment is clearly a plus. In addition to being positive, pro-active and organised, the candidate will have to show the highest level of accountability and integrity in its daily work and interactions with factory management and other stakeholders.

? Education
-A recognized higher diploma or above in related discipline (Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing System Engineering, or related technical discipline)

? Experience
-At least 3 years in practical experience and strong technical skills in baby care products.
-Experience in manufacturing and/or testing/inspecting of baby care products

? Knowledge
-US Baby care products
-Plastic injection & metal-based products
-Masters all material specifications, benefits and disadvantages
-Masters production cycle time, quality and process control and problem solving

? Design capabilities
-Familiar with technical drawings and applications
-Hand Sketch capabilities
-2D Software: Illustrator, Coreldraw, Photoshop, Adobe
-3D Software: Solidwork, 3D studio Max

? Skills
-Able to communicate with source and factories independently
-Good judgment in determining problems and their causes, able to provide solutions
-Good at organizational and interpersonal communications
-Good command in spoken and written English and Mandarin
-High accountability and integrity
-Organized & dynamic
-Proactive, reactive, structured, pragmatic and problem-solving oriented
