Major Responsibilities and On-Going Tasks
Responsible for performing support activities to develop, implement and administer compensation and benefit policies and programs under the supervision of the C&B Manager – ChinaHK and Programs.
May solve routine problems, established policies and procedures. Contacts are primarily within the HR functions and external C&B vendors
Participates in C&B surveys, Identifies, compiles, and prepares appropriate data for survey submittals. Reviews and analyzes survey results in light of internal jobs and pay levels and develops related salary ranges and recommendations. Prepare and compile survey data based on ad-hoc requests.
Conducts Total Remuneration studies in countries that require an update and recommend any changes based on the Company’s overall Total Rewards approach, business needs, local competitive market and legal compliance.
Assists in the development, deployment, ongoing administration, and documentation of compensation and benefits policies and programs, recommends and implements changes
in methods or procedures.
Assists in developing plan designs and presentations that are presented to HR and the business leaders about policy changes for agreement and approval.
Audits the organization’s use of various compensation programs to ensure policy conformance and regulatory compliance. Maintains a sound working knowledge of laws relating to compensation and benefits and their application to the business.
Participates in global/regional projects and processes as required. Conducts training & communications, problem solving and responds to queries, liaises with local business unit HR teams as needed.
Maintains C&B data, plan information, policies and provides systems solutions and configuration support for assigned C&B programs/systems.
Provides various analytical support as required and ensure timely and accurate reporting and analysis are delivered.
Acts as the key interface between the Company and its compensation and benefits vendors in the supported countries including policy changes, annual renewals, exception management and other related duties.
Participates in a variety of other activities relating to Compensation/Benefits and Human Resource Management as requested by supervisor.
Works under general supervision and operates with substantial latitude of un-reviewed action and decision making within the overall guiding principals of the Company’s Total Rewards framework.
Typical Qualifications
Bachelor or Master’s degree with 2-3 plus years relevant work experience.
Possess strong quantitative and analytical skills.
Solid command of PC tools such as spreadsheets software, database software, human resource information system, Power Point, Word and other related programs.
Good consultive, communications and presentation skills both verbally and written in English and Mandarin.
Travel within the Asia region and internationally as required by project and work demands. Participate on a number of conference calls within and outside of the normal working hours as required.
Payroll and/or HR generalist experience is an additional asset that will be considered in the overall selection criteria.
