职位描述：
工作职责：
Material Selection
1、Support material selection for new project, align with the product property requirement. Develop
new material to improve product quality/ cost competitiveness as well as supplier base/ strategy
development together with sourcing department.
2、Failure Analysis
Cooperate with process and product function team, analyze the root cause of failure. Be familiar
with the stamping process. Test the raw material property, contribute the failure analysis from
material engineering side.
Be familiar with the welding, plating, die casting and die material.
Material Database
Collect metal material information in automotive industry and maintain the frequently-used
material database to accelerate the material selection process, and optimize the material selection
scope.
3、Team Management
In charge of material application team with project management, team talent development and
material application/ strategy development.
Seminar and Workshop
Workshop with product engineers, understand the product information and requirement from
engineers. Provide correspond support.
Seminar with supplier, be familiar with the material marketing information. Act as a bridge among
supplier, vendor and internal product engineers through unscheduled material forums.
4、Others
Work with PE, ME, Quality and procurement to achieve engineering material improvement goals.
Create professional material related technical documents e.g. material specification, standards,
reports etc.
Other work-loads assigned by manager.
任职要求：
- Bachelor degree in Material Science (metal materials and materials science) or related
disciplines;
- More than 8 year’s material engineering related experience. Familiar with the properties and
features of metal material e.g. brass, bronze, stainless steel, iron, magnetic steel etc;?
Experienced in stamping/ machining process;
- Understand heat treatment and material performance related;
- Familiar with material performance of non-metal related ( i.e. resin, glue, rubber sealing etc.)
- Fluent technical writing and presentation skills;
- Self-motivated and accountable;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
