Job Responsibilities
* Design and develop small footprint embedded firmware for use in our products.
* Collaborate with global Customer Engineering teams, Platform teams, ASIC teams and Systems engineering teams.
* Develop and Support new fingerprint features.
* Hands on debug of customer and field related issues. Interface with internal engineering teams to identify robust solutions quickly.
* Operate in both a research environment (algorithms, electronics, signal processing) and a product development environment (sensitive to needs of customers, markets and production environment).
* Provide onsite customer support.
* Travel maybe required (15% to 20%)
Required Qualifications
* Education: BS or greater in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience in real-time embedded software/firmware development.
* Minimum of 5 years of code development using assembly language and a higher level language like C/C++.
* Must possess good communication skills – verbal and written
* Experience with I2C, SPI, RS-232, RS-485 or other inter-processor communications
* Experience in image processing algorithm design and development.
* Must have the ability to work with geographically diverse teams.
* Understands firmware discipline including driver development.
* Familiarity with analog and digital systems, ADCs, DACs, sensors
* Familiarity with Logic Analyzers, ICE, DVM, Oscilloscope and similar tools is a must.
* Willing to work in a fast-paced, intense environment.
* Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently.
* Linux driver/application development experience is a plus
