Plant Manager - China

An important Plant Manager role in technology manufacturing, focusing on Innovation, Change Management, and Continuous Improvement within a dynamic, high growth, industry leading company. Lead and work closely with a proactive team focused on identification and delivery of innovative solutions in an environment which encourages personal and professional development. Report to the Director of Supply Chain and Materials, work closely with the corporate leadership team. Be responsible for production, fulfillment, supplier effectiveness, incoming material and quality control initiatives, creative process design, fabrication, and improvements.


Responsibilities
? Collaborate with production line manager, planning and production control, purchasing, and quality organizations
? Assure preventive maintenance is followed on production line equipment by scheduling repairs and upgrades while simultaneously working to maximize production uptime
? Support and assist in best-practice training of personnel to assure all crafts (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, etc.) are maintained with high efficiency while maintaining quality standards
? Process FMEA’s and supplier quality management and conduct with involvement of floor personnel, periodic workplace and equipment safety inspections
? Drive lean six sigma principles to help ensure the development of a continuous improvement (identify, develop and implement) culture for manufacturing process and production line performance.
? Work with Supplier Quality Engineering and Incoming Quality Control to help resolve incoming material delivery, discrepancies, production and quality issues
? Conduct on site supplier audits for delivery capacity, capability, processes, quality control
? Analyze supplier support trial runs and first article samples
? Manage and support technical conversations with suppliers
? Facilitate communications and align standards and expectations between suppliers and internal and external quality engineering and incoming quality control
? Support all aspects of build plan success and perform production process and outgoing product quality audits
? Drive Engineering Change Order implementation and communicate with HQ on production/product issues, resolutions and delivery requests
? Support customer shipments, inventory transfers and customs documentation

Requirements
? BS degree in business or engineering
? 5+ years Technology Plant operations/manufacturing management experience
? Written and verbal command of both English and Mandarin
? Track record of designing and implementing continuous improvements for new and existing processes to increase manufacturing capabilities and efficiencies
? Comfortable in fast-paced contract manufacturing or OEM, collaborative environment
? Experience with lean manufacturing, production, inventory control and quality systems
? Solid experience in working with Production to evaluate and resolve problems encountered with equipment or processes
? Experience with maintaining targeted production effectiveness while managing schedules for major repairs and equipment maintenance, plant layout changes, power shutdowns, etc.
? Travel to United States times per year – Travel visa required
